Ramadan: The Blessed Guest

Ramadan literally termed as the ninth month of calendar and the month of fasting for preaching and reaching Allah. When Ramadan comes, all the Islamic devotees get energized and excited to put up the lanterns and decorations all around to welcome the blessed month. We must welcome Ramadan with neat and tidy home, in neat dress and with prayers. Ramadan is the reminder of renewal of your mind and life to reach Allah. All Islamic devotees must fast from water, food and luxuries. The most important thing to remind in Ramadan is that devotees should fast by keeping the oath that this year I want to grow my character to be more like that of Prophet Muhammad and to cherish goodness to the society.

Here is the story of a young woman of 23 named Kearney-Argow who has been using pain killers over years. She had been in three car accidents and was suffering from consequent neck pain and migraines. She started using pain killers for each time. When ever she approaches her doctor, she used to get dangerous pain killers in the prescription. Every time she took Opioid stupors to relieve from pain. She says that it is easy to get Opiates here in the cities of New Jersey. She used cannabis, ketamine and some other powerful pain killers that doctors normally prescribe to cancer victims. Due to the over dosage in using pain killers, her weight fell to 43kg and she did even stopped going college. Some how, this lady is getting back to her normal state and started going for a job. The number of overdose deaths involving opioids &8211; including some strong painkillers and heroin &8211; nearly quadrupled between 1999 and 2014”. Reports say that 78 Americans die every day due to over dosage of pain killers and other pills mixed with Alcohol. 2017 budget request of President Barack Obama allotted $1.1bn to treat opioid addicts who want help. In fact the crisis is that every single family in United States is facing the pain killer addiction, that one of the family members would be using a pain killer. And this addiction turns to serious sickness to them. former politician Patrick Kennedy said that spending a little more for treatment would be far better than filling the addicts in courthouses, jails and emergency rooms. Now America has banned hard drugs like heroine, but still uses opioid pain killers. Oxycodone and Hydrocodone were once reserved for severe pain of those recovering from car crashes and surgery, and those getting palliative care for AIDS, cancer and other killers. Some reports say that in 2013, physicians prescribed nearly a quarter of a billion opioid drugs. Various recommendations and reports say that it is time to stop using pain killers in United States for diseases and move with some other healthy alternatives to this issue.

Al-Mawlid-un Nabi (The Birth of the Prophet) Mohammed (PBUH)

October 29, 2020 Praise be to Allah, the Exalted, the Creator & the Sustainer of the worlds, the Supreme. He (SWT) created humans as His best creation and guided the first couple, Adam & Eve, directly to obey Him and follow His Commands. Later He sent His Messengers and Prophets to continually refresh His guidance to human beings. Finally, He sent Mohammad (PBUH), as His last messenger who accomplished his mission over a period of twenty-three years (610-632 AD). All Muslims are required to learn and follow the teachings of our prophet who exemplified and lived the Quran. Mohammad (PBUH) was born (and passed away) on the 12th day of Rabi al-Awwal, 570 AD of the Islamic calendar. This day will fall on October 29, 2020. Although not firm, this date is generally accepted among the scholars and celebrated by Muslims across the world. It is important to note that public celebration, commemoration, or festivals of Mohammad�s birthday was not known until the early 12th century AD. It is said to be started in Iraq and was strengthened and expanded in the 13th century AD during the Fatimid Dynasty of Egypt. Today, we see extraordinarily large gatherings, celebrations, and processions that Mohammad (PBUH) would never approve of. Muslims universally love the Prophet Mohammad (PBUH). It is observed time and again that they love him above themselves, their parents, their families to the best of their understanding. This love must translate into true following of the Prophet (PBUH). This could only be achieved through studying the Quran, authentic Hadith, Seerah, self-evaluation, and good companionship that guides to the right path. True success for a Muslim entail pleasing Allah with his or her life. This is the only way to achieve success in the hereafter and requires knowledge and practice of the teachings of Mohammad (PBUH). Think Positive; Suicide Is a Great Evil

This is a great article by Muhammad Zafar, who talks about the evil side of suicide. Did you ever think of suicide? If not, you are beloved to Allah and he will take care of you till your death. Committing suicide or thinking of suicide is a great evil, that Allah hates it the most. . You don’t have the right to even think of committing suicide. Always you must be in a state of matured thinking. Don’t care much for failure anymore. If you are moody, start to look at things differently. Spend time with friends and start to get into the things that can entertain you. Stop comparing yourself to others and worrying about the things that would benefit you. Engage with your friends, family, brothers at the Mosque and even strangers (for Allah) and in a short time, you will feel better. Engage your time in doing activities like reading books, listen to lectures, sit down and converse with your mom. The more you do it, and the more you went out of your way to do it, the more your life will get balanced. That balance will bring more happiness in your life.
