Sahih Muslim Book - 33, Hadith - 4710

حَدَّثَنَا نَصْرُ بْنُ عَلِىٍّ الْجَهْضَمِىُّ حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ عَوْنٍ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ النَّوْفَلِىُّ - وَاللَّفْظُ لَهُ - حَدَّثَنَا أَزْهَرُ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ عَوْنٍ عَنِ الشَّعْبِىِّ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ قَالَ انْطَلَقْتُ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- وَمَعِى أَبِى فَسَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ « لاَ يَزَالُ هَذَا الدِّينُ عَزِيزًا مَنِيعًا إِلَى اثْنَىْ عَشَرَ خَلِيفَةً ». فَقَالَ كَلِمَةً صَمَّنِيهَا النَّاسُ فَقُلْتُ لأَبِى مَا قَالَ قَالَ « كُلُّهُمْ مِنْ قُرَيْشٍ ».

It was narrated that Jabir bin Samurah said: "I went to the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w), and my father was with me, and I heard him say: 'This religion will continue to prevail and be strong until there have been twelve caliphs.' Then he said something that I could not hear because of the people's voices. I said to my father: 'What did he say?' He said: 'All of them will be from the Quraish."'
