Ata said: “I heard Jabir bin Abdullah [may Allah be pleased with them], along with some people who were with me, say: ‘We, the Companions of Muhammad (SAW), entered Ihram for Hajj only.’” Ata said: ‘Jabir said: ‘The Prophet (SAW) came on the morning of the fourth of Dhul-Hijjah and told us to exit Ihram.’ Ata said: ‘He said: ‘Exit Ihram and you may have intercourse with your wives.’’’ Ata said: ‘He did not insist on that for them, but he made permissible for them. We said: ‘When there are five days between us and Arafah, he told us to have intercourse with our wives, so we will come to Arafah with our private parts still dripping with semen!’’ He said: ‘Jabir gestured with his hand, and it is as if I can see his hand moving.’ He said: ‘The Prophet (SAW) stood up among us and said: ‘You know that I am the one who fears Allah the most among you, and I am the most truthful among you and the most righteous. Were it not for my sacrificial animal, I would have exited Ihram as you have done. If I had known before what I know now, I would not have brought the sacrificial animal. Exit Ihram.’ So we exited Ihram, and we listened and obeyed.’ Ata said: “Jabir said: ‘Then Ali came from his (Zakat) collecting mission and he (Prophet (SAW)) said: “For what did you enter Ihram?” He said: ‘For the same as the Messenger of Allah (SAW) entered Ihram.’ The Messenger of Allah (SAW) said to him: ‘Bring your sacrificial animal and remain in Ihram.’ So Ali brought him a sacrificial animal. Suraqah bin Malik said: ‘O Messenger of Allah, is it just for this year or forever?’ He said: ‘Forever.’ ’”
"When a person dies, his works end, except for three: ongoing charity, knowledge that is benefited from, and a righteous child who prays for him."
Prophet Mohammed (PBUH)
"The best of what a man leaves behind are three: a righteous child who supplicates for him, ongoing charity the reward of which reaches him, and knowledge that is acted upon after him."
Sunan Ibn Mājah
"Every day two angels come down from Heaven and one of them says, 'O Allah! Compensate every person who spends in Your Cause,' and the other (angel) says, 'O Allah! Destroy every miser.'"
Sahih Bukhari
