حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ حَبِيبٍ حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ - يَعْنِى ابْنَ الْحَارِثِ - حَدَّثَنَا قُرَّةُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ حَدَّثَنَا عَامِرُ بْنُ وَاثِلَةَ أَبُو الطُّفَيْلِ حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ جَبَلٍ قَالَ جَمَعَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- فِى غَزْوَةِ تَبُوكَ بَيْنَ الظُّهْرِ وَالْعَصْرِ وَبَيْنَ الْمَغْرِبِ وَالْعِشَاءِ. قَالَ فَقُلْتُ مَا حَمَلَهُ عَلَى ذَلِكَ قَالَ فَقَالَ أَرَادَ أَنْ لاَ يُحْرِجَ أُمَّتَهُ.
Mu'adh bin Jabal said: "During the campaign to Tabuk, the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) joined Zuhr with 'Asr, and Maghrib with 'Isha'." I said: "What made him do that?" He said: "He did not want his Ummah to be subjected to hardship."
