حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، وَأَبُو كُرَيْبٍ ، قَالاَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ بِهَذَا الإِسْنَادِ ، وَلَمْ يَذْكُرْ: وَإِنْ تَقَرَّبَ إِلَيَّ ذِرَاعًا ، تَقَرَّبْتُ مِنْهُ بَاعًا.
It was narrated from Al-A'mash with this chain of narrators (a Hadith similar to no. 6805), but he did not mention (the words): "If he draws near to Me an arm's length, I draw near to him a fathom's length."
