حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ نُمَيْرٍ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَةُ عَنْ طَلْحَةَ بْنِ يَحْيَى عَنْ عَمِّهِ قَالَ كُنْتُ عِنْدَ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ فَجَاءَهُ الْمُؤَذِّنُ يَدْعُوهُ إِلَى الصَّلَاةِ فَقَالَ مُعَاوِيَةُ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ الْمُؤَذِّنُونَ أَطْوَلُ النَّاسِ أَعْنَاقًا يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ.
It was narrated from Talhah bin Yahya that his paternal uncle said: "I was with Mu'awiyah bin Abi Sufyan when the Mu'adhdhin came to him to call him to prayer. Mu'awiyah said: 'I heard the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) say: "The Mu'adhdhin will be the people with the longest necks on the Day of Resurrection."
