It was narrated from 'Urwah and 'Amrah bint 'Abdur-Rahman that 'Aishah, the wife of the Prophet (s.a.w), said: "I would enter the house for a need (when I was in I'tikaf). and while passing by I would inquire about the health of sick (in the family). And the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) used to put his head out to me when he was in the Masjid, and I would comb it, and he did not enter the house except for a need when he was in I'tikaf."
