وَحَدَّثَنِى مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَاتِمٍ وَابْنُ أَبِى خَلَفٍ قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ أَخْبَرَنِى أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- يَقُولُ « لاَ يَغْرِسُ رَجُلٌ مُسْلِمٌ غَرْسًا وَلاَ زَرْعًا فَيَأْكُلَ مِنْهُ سَبُعٌ أَوْ طَائِرٌ أَوْ شَىْءٌ إِلاَّ كَانَ لَهُ فِيهِ أَجْرٌ ». وَقَالَ ابْنُ أَبِى خَلَفٍ طَائِرٌ شَىْءٌ.
Jabir bin 'Abdullah said: "I heard the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) say: 'No Muslim man plants anything or cultivates anything that a wild animal or bird or anything eats from, but he will have a reward for that."'
