حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ وَأَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ وَزُهَيْرُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ وَاللَّفْظُ لِقُتَيْبَةَ وَأَبِي بَكْرٍ قَالُوا حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ عَنْ أَبِي النَّضْرِ عَنْ أَبِي أَنَسٍ أَنَّ عُثْمَانَ تَوَضَّأَ بِالْمَقَاعِدِ فَقَالَ أَلَا أُرِيكُمْ وُضُوءَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ثُمَّ تَوَضَّأَ ثَلَاثًا ثَلَاثًا وَزَادَ قُتَيْبَةُ فِي رِوَايَتِهِ قَالَ سُفْيَانُ قَالَ أَبُو النَّضْرِ عَنْ أَبِي أَنَسٍ قَالَ وَعِنْدَهُ رِجَالٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ.
It was narrated from Abu Anas that 'Uthman performed Wudu' in Al-Maqa'id, and he said: "Shall I not show you how the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) performed Wudu'?" Then he performed Wudu', washing each part three times. Qutaibah added in his narration: "Sufyan said: 'Abu An-Nadr said that Abu Anas said: "And with him were some men from among the Companions of the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w)."
"When a person dies, his works end, except for three: ongoing charity, knowledge that is benefited from, and a righteous child who prays for him."
