وَحَدَّثَنِى مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَاتِمِ بْنِ مَيْمُونٍ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِى عَطَاءٌ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ يُحَدِّثُنَا قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- لاِمْرَأَةٍ مِنَ الأَنْصَارِ سَمَّاهَا ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ فَنَسِيتُ اسْمَهَا « مَا مَنَعَكِ أَنْ تَحُجِّى مَعَنَا ». قَالَتْ لَمْ يَكُنْ لَنَا إِلاَّ نَاضِحَانِ فَحَجَّ أَبُو وَلَدِهَا وَابْنُهَا عَلَى نَاضِحٍ وَتَرَكَ لَنَا نَاضِحًا نَنْضِحُ عَلَيْهِ قَالَ « فَإِذَا جَاءَ رَمَضَانُ فَاعْتَمِرِى فَإِنَّ عُمْرَةً فِيهِ تَعْدِلُ حَجَّةً ».
Ata said: “I heard Abu Abbas say: ‘The Messenger of Allah (SAW) said to a woman from among the Ansar – Ibn Abbas mentioned her name but I forgot it- “What kept you from performing Hajj with us?” she said: “We have only two camels,” and the father of her son and her son had gone for Hajj on camel, “and he left us the other camel so that we could carry water on it.” He said: “When Ramadan comes, go for Umrah, for Umrah in (that month) is equivalent to Hajj.”
"When a person dies, his works end, except for three: ongoing charity, knowledge that is benefited from, and a righteous child who prays for him."
