Sahih Muslim Book - 13, Hadith - 2768
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الطَّاهِرِ وَحَرْمَلَةُ بْنُ يَحْيَى قَالاَ أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ أَخْبَرَنِى يُونُسُ عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ عَنْ أَبِى سَلَمَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ أَبِى هُرَيْرَةَ - رضى الله عنه - أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- قَالَ « أُرِيتُ لَيْلَةَ الْقَدْرِ ثُمَّ أَيْقَظَنِى بَعْضُ أَهْلِى فَنُسِّيتُهَا فَالْتَمِسُوهَا فِى الْعَشْرِ الْغَوَابِرِ ». وَقَالَ حَرْمَلَةُ « فَنَسِيتُهَا ».
It was narrated from ‘Abu Hurairah [may Allah be pleased with them] that the Messenger of Allah (SAW) said: “I was shown Lailat Al-Qadar, then one of my family woke me up and I was caused to forget it, so seek it in the last ten (nights).” (One of the narrators) Harmalah said: “and I forgot it.”
