Sahih Muslim Book - 13, Hadith - 2655
وَحَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِى عُمَرَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ عَنِ الزُّهْرِىِّ بِهَذَا الإِسْنَادِ سَمِعَ النَّبِىَّ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- يَقُولُ فِى مِثْلِ هَذَا الْيَوْمِ « إِنِّى صَائِمٌ فَمَنْ شَاءَ أَنْ يَصُومَ فَلْيَصُمْ ». وَلَمْ يَذْكُرْ بَاقِىَ حَدِيثِ مَالِكٍ وَيُونُسَ.
It was narrated from Az-Zuhri with this chain that he heard the Prophet say on this day: “I am fasting, so whoever wants to fast, let him do so.” And he did not mention the rest of the Hadith of Malik and Yunus (No. 2653).
