Sahih Muslim Book - 12, Hadith - 2482

حَدَّثَنَا هَارُونُ بْنُ مَعْرُوفٍ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ أَخْبَرَنِى يُونُسُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ نَوْفَلٍ الْهَاشِمِىِّ أَنَّ عَبْدَ الْمُطَّلِبِ بْنَ رَبِيعَةَ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ أَبَاهُ رَبِيعَةَ بْنَ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ وَالْعَبَّاسَ بْنَ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ قَالاَ لِعَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ بْنِ رَبِيعَةَ وَلِلْفَضْلِ بْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ائْتِيَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- وَسَاقَ الْحَدِيثَ بِنَحْوِ حَدِيثِ مَالِكٍ وَقَالَ فِيهِ فَأَلْقَى عَلِىٌّ رِدَاءَهُ ثُمَّ اضْطَجَعَ عَلَيْهِ وَقَالَ أَنَا أَبُو حَسَنٍ الْقَرْمُ وَاللَّهِ لاَ أَرِيمُ مَكَانِى حَتَّى يَرْجِعَ إِلَيْكُمَا ابْنَاكُمَا بِحَوْرِ مَا بَعَثْتُمَا بِهِ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ -صلى الله عليه وسلم-. وَقَالَ فِى الْحَدِيثِ ثُمَّ قَالَ لَنَا « إِنَّ هَذِهِ الصَّدَقَاتِ إِنَّمَا هِىَ أَوْسَاخُ النَّاسِ وَإِنَّهَا لاَ تَحِلُّ لِمُحَمَّدٍ وَلاَ لآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ ». وَقَالَ أَيْضًا ثُمَّ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- « ادْعُوَا لِى مَحْمِيَةَ بْنَ جَزْءٍ ». وَهُوَ رَجُلٌ مِنْ بَنِى أَسَدٍ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ -صلى الله عليه وسلم- اسْتَعْمَلَهُ عَلَى الأَخْمَاسِ.

Abdul Muttalib bin Rabiah bin Al-Harith bin Abdul Muttalib narrated that his father Rabiah bin Al-Harith [bin Abdul Muttalib] and Al-Abbas bin Abdul Muttalib said to Abdul Muttalib bin Rabiah and Al-Fadl bin Abbas: “Go to the Messenger of Allah (SAW) …..” and he quoted a Hadith like that of Malik (no.2 481). And he said in it: “Ali spread this Rida and lay down on it, and he said: ‘I am Abu Hasan, the chief, and By Allah I will not ,move from my place until your two sons come back to you with the reply to the request with which you sent them to the Messenger of Allah (SAW).’” And he said in the hadith: “The he said to us: ‘This charity is the dirt of people, and it is not permissible for Muhammad (SAW) nor for the family of Muhammad (SAW).’” And he said: “Then the Messenger of Allah (SAW) said: ‘Call Mahmiyah bin Jaz for me.’ He was a man from Banu Asad whom the Messenger of Allah (SAW) had appointed in charge of Khums.”
