It was narrated from Anas bin Malik that the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) came to a woman who was crying for a son of hers and said to her: "Have Taqqa of Allah and be patient.' She said: 'What do you know of my affliction?' When he went away, it was said to her: 'That was the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w),' and she was mortally shocked. She came to his door, and did not find any doorkeeper there. She said: 'O Messenger of Allah, I did not recognize you.' He said: 'Patience is when calamity first strikes.'"
"When a person dies, his works end, except for three: ongoing charity, knowledge that is benefited from, and a righteous child who prays for him."
Prophet Mohammed (PBUH)
"The best of what a man leaves behind are three: a righteous child who supplicates for him, ongoing charity the reward of which reaches him, and knowledge that is acted upon after him."
Sunan Ibn Mājah
"Every day two angels come down from Heaven and one of them says, 'O Allah! Compensate every person who spends in Your Cause,' and the other (angel) says, 'O Allah! Destroy every miser.'"
