Celebrate the praises of Allah during these appointed days. Ifanyone hastens to leave Mina after two days or stays there a daylonger there is no blame on him provided he spends these days inpiety. Fear Allah and remember that you will surely be gatheredbefore Him.

We have revealed to you the Book with the Truth so that you mayjudge between people in accordance with the Right Way which Allahhas shown you, so be not an advocate for those who betray trust;

In fact, those who misappropriate the property of orphansunjustly, swallow but fire into their bellies; they will soon becast into the blazing fire!

They swear to you by Allah in order to please you. But it is morefitting that they should please Allah and His Rasool if they aretrue believers.

Can it be conceivable that a person who is seeking the goodpleasure of Allah will behave like the one who has incurred thewrath of Allah and is ultimately doomed to Hell, which is an evilrefuge?

As a result they returned home with blessings and grace fromAllah and suffered no harm at all. Besides this, they had thehonor of following what pleased Allah, and Allah is the Owner ofmighty grace.

There is no virtue in most of the secret counsels of the people;it is, however, good if one secretly enjoins charity, kindness,and reconciliation among people; the one who does this to pleaseAllah, will soon be given a mighty reward.

O believers! Do not make friendship with those who are enemies ofMine and yours. Would you show them friendship, when they havedenied the truth that has come to you and have driven the Rasooland yourselves out of your homes, simply because you believe inAllah, your Rabb? If it was indeed to strive in My way, and toseek My good pleasure that you left your homes, how can youbefriend in secret? I know all that you conceal, and all that youreveal. Any of you who does this, he indeed has gone astray fromthe Right Way.

If they overcome you, they would behave to you as enemies andstretch out their hands and their tongues towards you with evil,and they wish to see you become unbelievers.

On the Day of Resurrection, neither your relatives nor yourchildren shall avail you. Allah will judge between you, and He isobserving all your actions.

You have an excellent example in Ibrahim (Abraham) and hiscompanions. They said to their people plainly: "We are clear ofyou and your gods, whom you worship besides Allah. We renounceyou. Enmity and hate shall reign between us forever until youbelieve in Allah, the One and Only God." But do not emulate whatIbrahim said to his father: "I will pray for your forgiveness,although I have no power to get anything for you from Allah."Their collective prayer was: "Our Rabb! In You we have put ourtrust, to You we turn in repentance and to You is our final goal.

Our Rabb! Do not expose us to the plots of the unbelievers.Forgive us, our Rabb! You are the All-Mighty, the All-Wise."

Truly, in those there is an excellent example for everyone whoputs their hopes in Allah and the Last Day. He that gives no heedshould know that Allah is free of all wants, worthy of allpraise.

It may well be that Allah will put love between you and thosewith whom you are now at odds because of the order which is givento you, for Allah is All-Powerful, and Allah is Oft-Forgiving,Most Merciful.

Allah does not forbid you to be kind and equitable to those whohad neither fought against your faith nor driven you out of yourhomes. In fact Allah loves the equitable.

Allah only forbids you to make friendship with those who foughtyou on account of your faith and drove you out of your homes andbacked up others in your expulsion. Those who will take them forfriends are indeed the wrongdoers.

O believers! Do not befriend those who have incurred the wrath ofAllah. Indeed they despair of the Hereafter, just as theunbelievers despair of those buried in the graves.

Among the people there is one whose speech fascinates you in thisworldly life; he may even call upon Allah to witness what is inhis heart, yet he is your staunch opponent.

In fact, those who keep their promise and guard themselvesagainst evil are His beloved, for Allah loves only those whoguard themselves against such evils.

Those who keep their trusts and honor their promises,

Surely those who swore allegiance to you O Prophet, indeed sworeallegiance to Allah Himself. The Hand of Allah was above theirhands. Now, the one who will break his pledge, will break it athis own peril, and the one who will keep his pledge that he hasmade with Allah, shall soon be given a great rewarded by Him.

Do those who plot evil deeds feel secure that Allah will not cavein the earth beneath them or that the scourge will not come tothem from directions that they did not suspect?

They hatched their plots but their plots were well within thesight of Allah, even though these were such which could movemountains.

Then, when he brought them the truth from Us, they said: "Killthe sons of those who share his faith and spare only theirfemales." But futile were the schemes of the unbelievers.

and that is why in every town We have placed the criminals astheir ring leaders to plot therein, they plot against none buttheir own souls, though they do not perceive it.

Whenever there comes to them a sign (verses of The Qur'an) theysay: "We shall not believe until we are given directly that whichis given to the Rasools of Allah." Allah knows best to whom Heshould give His Message. Soon these criminals will be overtakenby humiliation and by a severe punishment from Allah for theirevil plots.

Do those who plot evil deeds feel secure that Allah will not cavein the earth beneath them or that the scourge will not come tothem from directions that they did not suspect?

Or that He may not seize them in the course of their journeyleaving no way for their escape?

Or that He may seize them after alerting them about the danger?Yet your Rabb is Beneficent, Merciful.

If anyone is seeking honor, let him know that all honor belongsto Allah Alone. Good words ascend to Him and good deeds areexalted by Him. As for those who plan evil deeds, they shall havesevere punishment and their plots will be brought to nothing.

These very people used to swear on solemn oaths by Allah that ifa Warner ever come to them, they would be better guided than anyother nation of the world; yet when a Warner has come to themthey have increased in nothing but aversion,

behaving arrogantly in the land and plotting evil, whereas theplotting of evil recoils none but the authors of it. Are theyawaiting for that end which overtook the former nations? If so,you shall find no change in the ways of Allah, nor will you findany alteration in Allah's way of dealing.

Have they not traveled through the land and see what was the endof those who went before them, who were far superior in strengththan these people? There is nothing in the heavens or in theearth which can frustrate Allah; surely He is All-Knowing,All-Powerful.

Have you not observed the hypocrites? They say to their fellowunbelievers among the people of the Book: "If they drive you out,we will go with you. We will never obey anyone who seeks to harmyou. If you are attacked we will certainly help you." Allah bearswitness that they are lying.

If the People of the Book are driven out, they will never go withthem, nor, if the people of the Book are attacked, will they helpthem, and even if they help them, they will turn their backs;leaving them with no help at all.

When We show mercy to mankind after some calamity had afflictedthem, they begin to plot against Our revelations! Tell them:"Allah is more swift in plotting than you; indeed Our angels arerecording all the plots you make."

preaching what they do not practice themselves?

However, an exception is made for those (poets) who believe, dogood deeds, engage much in the remembrance of Allah and defendthemselves when wronged, showing no vindictiveness. The unjustoppressors will soon find out what vicissitudes their affairswill take.

- and those poets who are followed by those who go astray.

Do you not see, how aimlessly they wander in every valley,

However, an exception is made for those (poets) who believe, dogood deeds, engage much in the remembrance of Allah and defendthemselves when wronged, showing no vindictiveness. The unjustoppressors will soon find out what vicissitudes their affairswill take.

O believers! Fear Allah and always say the right thing;

He will bless your works and forgive your sins - for he thatobeys Allah and His Rasool, has indeed achieved the highestachievement.

It shall be unlawful for you, O Muhammad, to marry more womenafter this or to change your present wives with other women,though their beauty may be pleasing to you, however those ladieswhom your right hand possess are an exception. Allah takescognizance of all things.

You shall certainly be tested with by means of your wealth andwith your persons; and you will certainly hear much that ishurtful from those who were given the Book before you, and fromthe mushrikin. But if you endure with patience and have fear ofAllah, this will surely be a proof of your firm determination.
