وَسْـَٔلْ مَنْ أَرْسَلْنَا مِن قَبْلِكَ مِن رُّسُلِنَآ أَجَعَلْنَا مِن دُونِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ءَالِهَةً يُعْبَدُونَ
Wa i sal man arsaln a min qablika min rusulin a ajaAAaln a min dooni a l rra h m a ni a lihatan yuAAbadoon a Yet [above all else,] ask any of Our apostles whom We sent forth before thy time38 whether We have ever allowed that deities other than the Most Gracious be worshipped!
