Nay! I swear by all that you can see,
and all that you cannot see,
that this is the word of a noble Rasool.
is it not the word of a poet - little is it that you believe,
nor it is the word of a soothsayer - little admonition is thatyou take.
This is a revelation from the Rabb of the worlds.
Had he (Muhammad) invented false statement concerning Us,
We would certainly have seize him by his right hand
then cut off his main artery,
and none of you could prevent it!
He knows whatever is in the Heavens and whatever is in the Earth.Allah has full power over everything. On the Day of Judgement, when every soul will be confronted with whatever good it has done- as for its evil deeds, it will wish they were a long way off.Allah warns you to have His fear. Allah is full of kindness forHis devotees.
On the Day of Judgement every soul will come pleading for itselfand every soul will be paid in full for what it has done, andthey shall not be dealt with unjustly.
To the righteous soul it will be said: "O fully satisfied soul!
It is Allah Who recalls the souls of men upon their death, and ofthe living during their sleep. He withholds the souls of those onwhom He has passed the decree of death, and restores the resttill an appointed term. Surely there are signs in this for thosewho think.
Say: "Should I seek another Rabb besides Allah when He is theRabb of everything?" Every soul will reap the fruits of its owndeeds; no bearer of burdens shall bear the burden of another.Ultimately you will return to your Rabb, and He will resolve foryou your disputes.
We have fastened the fate of every man to his own neck, and onthe Day of Judgment We shall bring out for him a book spread wideopen,
saying: "Here is your book of deeds: read it. Today you yourselfare sufficient to take your own account."
He that seeks guidance, shall be guided to his own advantage, buthe that goes astray does so to his own loss. No bearer shall bearthe burden of another on the Day of Judgement. And during yourworldly life, We do not inflict punishment until We send forth aRasool to make truth distinct from falsehood.
No bearer of a burden will bear another's burden, and if a heavyladen person cries out for help, none will come forward to sharethe least of his burden, even though he be a close relative. OProphet! You can only admonish those who fear their Rabb - thoughthey cannot see Him - and establish Salah. He that purifieshimself does so for his own good. To Allah is the destination ofall.
and indeed failure will be the one who corrupts it!
O believers! You are accountable for none but for yourselves;anyone who has gone astray cannot harm you if you are on theRight Way. To Allah you shall all return and He will let you knowthe truth of all that you did.
Say: "If I am in error, the loss is surely mine and if I amright, it is because of what my Rabb has revealed to me. SurelyHe hears all and is very close."
If anyone does evil or wrongs his own soul and then seeks Allah'sforgiveness, he will find Allah Forgiving, Merciful.
But the pious shall be kept away from it,
the one who spends in charity for self-purification,
not seeking any favor from anyone for which a reward is expectedin return,
except seeking the good pleasure of his Rabb, the Most High.
Such persons shall soon be well-pleased with Allah.
The example of those who spend their wealth to seek the pleasureof Allah and to strengthen their souls is like a garden on a highand fertile ground: when heavy rain falls on it, it yields uptwice its normal produce; and if no rain falls, a light moistureis sufficient. Whatever you do is in the sight of Allah.
If anyone does evil or wrongs his own soul and then seeks Allah'sforgiveness, he will find Allah Forgiving, Merciful.
Very bad is the example of those people who deny Our revelationsand wrong their own souls.
Are these unbelievers waiting for the angels to come down to taketheir lives or the commandment of your Rabb to come to pass fortheir doom? So did those who went before them. It was not Allahwho was unjust to them, but they were unjust to themselves.
At the end, the evil results of their deeds overtook them, andthe very scourge at which they mocked, hemmed them in.
O believers, if an evildoer comes to you with some news, verifyit (investigate to ascertain the truth), lest you should harmothers unwittingly and then regret what you have done.
The Day when they all shall come forth from their graves withnothing hidden from Allah. It will be asked: "Whose is theKingdom today?" No one shall dare to speak, and Allah Himselfwill say: "It is Allah's, the One, the Irresistible.
All that is in the heavens and the earth glorifies Allah. To Himbelongs the kingdom and to Him is due all praise, He has powerover all things.
Now there have come to you clear proofs from your Rabb to openyour eyes. Therefore, anyone who will open his eyes, it is goodfor his own soul and anyone who will play blind, it is to his ownharm, and I am the Prophet, not assigned as a keeper over you.
There are others who built a Masjid for mischievous motives(Masjid-e-Zirar), to spread disbelief and to disunite thebelievers, and an outpost for one (Abu 'Amir) who had made waragainst Allah and His Rasool before. They will indeed swear thattheir intentions are nothing but good; but Allah declares thatthey are absolute liars.
You should never stand to offer Salah in it. Certainly the Masjidfounded on piety from the very first day is more deserving thatyou should stand to offer Salah in it; for in it there are menwho love to be purified; and Allah loves those who purifythemselves.
Who is a better person; he who lays the foundation of hisbuilding on piety to Allah and His good pleasure, or he who laysthe foundation of his building on an undermined bank that willtumble down with him into the fire of Hell? Allah does not guidesuch wrongdoers.
The foundation of those who so build is never free from suspicionand shakiness in their hearts until their hearts are cut topieces. Allah is Knowledgeable, Wise.
of unforbidden never ending supply,
You, the assembly of jinns and men! If you have the power to get away from the boundaries of the heavens and the earth (to escape from His punishment), then get away! You cannot get away except with Our authority.
and will be reclining on high raised couches.
Then, O jinns and men, which of your Rabb’s favors will both of you deny?
They will be asked: "How many years did you live on earth?"
They will reply: "We lived there a day or part of a day; You mayask those who kept the count."
It will be said: "Well, now you know that your stay was just alittle while - what a pity, you did not believe it then!"
In the Earth He has created things of different colors: surelythere is a sign in this for those who want to learn a lesson.
Hajj is in the well known months. He who undertakes to perform itmust abstain from husband-wife relationship, obscene language, and wrangling during Hajj. Whatever good you do, Allah knows it.Take necessary provisions with you for the journey, and piety isthe best provision of all. Fear Me, O people endowed withunderstanding.
Who is better in speech than the one who calls people towardsAllah, does good deeds and says: "I am a Muslim?"
and Allah knows what you conceal and what you reveal.
O Muhammad We know it well that what they say grieves you: it isnot you that they deny, these wrongdoers actually deny therevelations of Allah.
Many Rasools before you were denied but patiently bore with theirdenial and persecution until Our help came down to them: for nonecan change the decrees of Allah. You have already received thenews of what happened to those Rasools.
If you find their aversion hard to bear, then see if you can makea tunnel in the ground or put a ladder to ascend in the skies bywhich you can bring them a sign. O Prophet, you know well that ifAllah wanted, He would have given guidance to all. So do not belike the ignorant.
Therefore be patient with what they say. Glorify your Rabb withHis praise before sunrise and before sunset, glorify Him duringthe hours of the night as well as at the ends of the day, so thatyou may find satisfaction.
They say: "Our Rabb, hasten our doom for us before the Day ofReckoning."
O Prophet, have patience at what they say, and remember Ourservant Dawood, the man of strength, who was frequent in turningto Allah for guidance.
Therefore, O Prophet, bear with them in patience whatever theysay, and keep on glorifying your Rabb before sunrise and beforesunset.
Bear patiently with what they say and leave their company in apolite manner.
Let me deal with rejecters who are enjoying the comforts of thislife, so put up with them for a while.
We have in store for them heavy fetters and a blazing fire,
choking food and a painful punishment.
On the day when the earth with all it's mountains will be in aviolent commotion, and the mountains will crumble into heaps ofshifting sand.
As for those who have faith and do good deeds, Allah willcertainly admit them to gardens beneath which rivers flow. Theyshall be decked with pearls and bracelets of gold, and theirgarments will be of silk.
This is because during their life on earth, they were guided toaccept the pure words of Allah and they were shown the Way of theAll-Praiseworthy.
Allah does not like evil words to be uttered except by someonewho is truly wronged. Allah hears all and knows all.
Among the people there is one whose speech fascinates you in thisworldly life; he may even call upon Allah to witness what is inhis heart, yet he is your staunch opponent.
Remember, We took a covenant (firm commitment) from the childrenof Israel: "You shall worship none but Allah; be good to yourparents, relatives, orphans and destitute, speak fair to thepeople, establish 'Salah', and pay 'Zakah.'" But you broke thecovenant, except a few of you, and you paid no heed.
He that desires the life of the hereafter and strives for it asbest as he can provided he is a Believer, the endeavor of everysuch person will be accepted.
Your Rabb has decreed to you that: You shall worship none butHim, and you shall be kind to your parents; if one or both ofthem live to their old age in your lifetime, you shall not say tothem any word of contempt nor repel them and you shall addressthem in kind words.
If the relatives, orphans or needy are present at the time of thedivision of an inheritance, give them something out of it, andspeak to them kind words.
Let those (disposing of an estate) have the same fear in theirminds as they would have for their own if they were to leave ahelpless family behind: they should, therefore, fear Allah andspeak for justice.
You shall speak courteously to needy persons if you are waitingfor your Rabb's bounty and you lack the means to assist them.

O believers! Do not put yourselves ahead of Allah and His Rasool.Fear Allah; surely Allah hears all and knows all.
O believers! Obey Allah and his Rasool and do not turn your backto him, now that you have heard all.
Do not be like those who say: "We hear," but give no heed to whatthey hear.
For the worst animals in the sight of Allah are those deaf anddumb people who do not use common sense.
O Believers, do not say to our Rasool: "Ra'ina" (an ambiguousword for: "Listen, may you become deaf" or "Our shepherd" or inJudeo-Arabic language conveys the sense, "our evil one.") But say"Unzurna" ("look upon" us "or pay attention" to us) and listen tohim carefully; and remember that there is a painful punishmentfor the unbelievers.
O wives of the Prophet! You are not like the other women: if youfear Allah, then you should not be complaisant while talking tothe men who are not closely related to you, lest the one in whoseheart is a disease may thereby be encouraged, and speak usingsuitable good words.
It is not vouchsafed to any human being that Allah should speakto him face to face, He speaks either through inspiration, orfrom behind a veil, or through sending a messenger (angelGabriel) authorized by Him to reveal His will; surely He is mostHigh, most Wise.
Rush towards the forgiveness from your Rabb to a Paradise as vastas the Heavens and the earth which is prepared for the righteouspeople;
they are those who spend generously in the way of Allah, whetherthey are in prosperity or in adversity, who control their angerand forgive other people for Allah loves such charitable people,
Behold, you are those who are being asked to give in the cause ofAllah. Yet some of you are stingy, whereas whoever is stingy toHis cause, is in fact stingy to himself. Allah is selfsufficient, it is you who are needy. If you turn away He willreplace you by some other folk; who will not be like you.
They ask you about drinking and gambling. Tell them: "There isgreat sin in both, although they may have some benefit for men;but the sin is greater than the benefit." They ask you what theyshould spend; tell them: "Whatever you can." Thus Allah makes Hisrevelations clear to you, so that you may reflect upon
Whatever you spend in charity or whatever vow you make, surelyAllah knows it. The wrongdoers shall have no helpers.
Those who spend their wealth in charity by night and day, secretly and openly, they will have their reward from their Rabb. They shall have nothing to fear or to regret.
O Prophet, tell My devotees who have believed, to establish Salah(regular five times daily prayers) and spend in charity openlyand secretly out of the sustenance which We have given them, before the coming of that Day in which there will neither betrading nor any friendship.
whose hearts tremble at the mention of Allah; who endureadversity with patience, who establish Salah and spend in charityout of what we have given them.
Only those people believe in Our revelations, who, when they arereminded of them, prostrate themselves in adoration and celebratethe praises of their Rabb and are not puffed up with pride.
Who forsake their beds and invoke their Rabb with fear and hope;and they spend in charity out of the sustenance which We havegiven them.
Believe in Allah and His Rasool and spend in charity out of whatyou have been made the inheritors of, for those of you whobelieve and spend in charity shall be richly rewarded.
Who is the one that will give to Allah a goodly loan, so that Hemay increase it manifold to his credit and give him a liberalreward besides it.
Spend, in charity and in the Cause of Allah, out of thesustenance which We have bestowed on you before that time whendeath will come to anyone of you, and he shall say: "O my Rabb!If only you would reprieve me for a little while then I wouldgive out everything in charity, and be among the righteous."
But Allah reprieves no soul when its term comes to an end. Allahis well aware of all your actions.
If you lend to Allah a goodly loan, He will pay you backmanifold, and will forgive you your sins. Allah is Appreciativeand Forbearing to those who are grateful.
So for him who gives in charity, fears Allah
Surely those who recite the Book of Allah, establish Salah, spendout of what We have given them, secretly and openly, may hope forimperishable gain.
That He may pay them back their full reward and give them evenmore out of His grace; surely He is Forgiving and Appreciative ofHis devotees.
Whenever they are asked: "Spend out of what Allah has given you."The disbelievers say to the believers: "Should we feed those whomAllah can feed Himself if He so chooses? You are quite obviouslyin error!"
Whatever you spend in charity or whatever vow you make, surelyAllah knows it. The wrongdoers shall have no helpers.
What they spend in this life (hypocritical charity) may becompared to a freezing wind which strikes and destroys thetillage of people who have wronged themselves (it is the lack offaith which makes their reward null and void); Allah is notunjust to them; it is they who have done injustice to their ownsouls.
also they are the ones who are patient, seek the pleasure oftheir Rabb, establish Salah, spend secretly and openly out of thesustenance which We have provided for them, and repel evil withgood - they are the ones for whom there is the home of thehereafter
O Prophet tell them: "Surely my Rabb gives abundantly to whom Hepleases and sparingly to whom He wills. Whatever you spend incharity, He will pay you back. He is the best of those whoprovide sustenance.
Surely the unbelievers spend their wealth in blocking the way ofAllah and so will they continue to spend; but in the end thesevery efforts will become the cause of their regrets; at lengththey will be defeated, and in the hereafter these unbelieverswill be gathered together and driven to hell,
in order that Allah may separate the filthy from the pure. Hewill heap the filthy one upon another, altogether, and then castthem into hell. They are the ones who will be the losers.
O believers, spend in Allah's Way the best portion of the wealthyou have lawfully earned and that which We have produced for youfrom the earth, and do not pick out for charity those worthlessthings that you yourselves would not accept but with closed eyes.Bear in mind that Allah is Self-Sufficient, Praiseworthy.
Muster against them all the military strength and cavalry thatyou can afford so that you may strike terror into the hearts ofthe enemy of Allah and of your, and others besides them who areunknown to you but known to Allah. Remember that whatever youwill spend in the cause of Allah, shall be paid back to you infull and you shall not be treated unjustly.
They ask you what they should spend in charity. Say: "Whateveryou spend with a good heart, give it to parents, relatives, orphans, the helpless, and travellers in need. Whatever good youdo, Allah is aware of it.
Righteousness is not whether you turn your face towards East orWest; but the righteousness is to believe in Allah, the Last Day,the Angels, the Books and the Prophets, and to spend wealth outof love for Him on relatives, orphans, helpless, needytravellers, those who ask for and on the redemption of captives;and to establish Salah (prayers), to pay Zakah (alms), to fulfillpromises when made, to be steadfast in distress, in adversity, and at the time of war. These people are the truthful and theseare the pious.
You can never attain righteousness unless you spend in the causeof Allah that which you dearly cherish; and whatever you spend, surely it is known to Allah.
They ask you what they should spend in charity. Say: "Whateveryou spend with a good heart, give it to parents, relatives, orphans, the helpless, and travellers in need. Whatever good youdo, Allah is aware of it.
Let those women, during their waiting period ('Iddat), live whereyou yourselves live according to your means. You shall not harassthem so as to make life intolerable for them. If they arepregnant, maintain them until their delivery: and if, after that, they suckle your offspring, compensate them and settle the matterof compensation with mutual consultation and in all fairness. Butif you cannot bear with each other then let another woman sucklethe baby for you.
Let the rich man give according to his means, and the poor mangive according to what Allah has given him. Allah does not chargea man with more than He has given him; soon Allah may bring easeafter hardship.

who believe in the Unseen, who establish Salah (five regulardaily prayers) and spend in charity out of what We have providedfor their sustenance;
O believers! Spend out of the sustenance which We have providedfor you before the arrival of that Day when there will be nobargaining, friendship or intercession. It is the unbelievers whoare wrongdoers.
They are the same people who say: "Do not give anything to thosewho follow the Rasool of Allah until they have deserted him." ToAllah belong the treasures of the heavens and the earth; but thehypocrites cannot understand.
O Prophet, you are not responsible for their guidance, it isAllah Who guides whom He pleases. Whatever wealth you spend incharity, it is to your own advantage; provided you give to seekthe pleasure of Allah. Whatever wealth you spend for the sake ofAllah, will be paid back to you in full, and you will not bewronged.
Serve Allah and do not commit shirk (associate any partner) withHim, and be good to your parents, kinfolks, orphans, thehelpless, near and far neighbors who keep company with you, thetravellers in need, and the slaves you own. Allah does not lovethose who are arrogant and boastful,
who are themselves stingy and enjoin others to be stingy, whohide the bounties which Allah has bestowed on them. For suchunbelievers We have prepared a disgraceful punishment.
Similarly, Allah does not like those who spend their wealth toshow off to the people, believing neither in Allah nor in theLast Day. In fact the one who chooses Shaitan as his companionhas chosen a very evil companion!
The example of those who spend their wealth to seek the pleasureof Allah and to strengthen their souls is like a garden on a highand fertile ground: when heavy rain falls on it, it yields uptwice its normal produce; and if no rain falls, a light moistureis sufficient. Give generously for the cause of Allah and do not cast yourselvesinto destruction by your own hands. Be charitable: Allah lovesthose who are charitable.
Who will loan to Allah a beautiful loan which Allah will increasemany fold? Allah alone can decrease and increase wealth, and toHim you all shall return.
The parable of those who spend their wealth in the way of Allahis that of a grain that sprouts into seven ears, each bearing onehundred grains. Allah gives manifold increase to whom He wishes.Allah has boundless knowledge.
Those who spend their wealth in the cause of Allah and do notfollow their charity with reminders of their generosity or injurethe feeling of the recipient, shall get their reward from theirRabb; they shall have nothing to fear or to regret.
Kind words and forgiveness are better than charity followed byinjury. Allah is Self-sufficient, Forbearing.
O believers! Do not make your charity worthless by reminders ofyour generosity or by injury to the recipients feelings, likethose who spend their wealth to be seen by people and believeneither in Allah nor in the Last Day. Their parable is like ahard barren rock covered with thin layer of soil; a heavy rainfalls, leaving it just a bare stone. Such people will not gainany reward that they thought they had earned. Allah does notguide the unbelievers.
Allah has heard the statement of those who said: " Allah is poorand we are rich!" Their words are recorded and so is their unjustkillings of the Prophets." On the Day of Judgement, We shall say:"Taste now the torment of burning!
O believers! Indeed most of the (Jewish) rabbis and (Christian)priests misappropriate the wealth of people and hinder them fromthe way of Allah. To those who hoard gold and silver and do notspend it in the way of Allah, proclaim a painful punishment.
Likewise, they do not spend anything for the cause of Allah, beit small or large, or cut across a valley in Jihad, but iswritten down to their credit; so that Allah may reward them basedon the best of their deeds.
Allah gives you another example of two men: one of them is aslave, the property of the other, and has no power over anything;and the other man is one on whom We have bestowed Our bounty, from which he freely spends secretly and openly. Ask them: "Arethose two men equal?" Praise be to Allah - most of them do notunderstand this simple thing.
What is the matter with you that you do not spend in the Way ofAllah, whereas to Allah belongs the inheritance of the heavensand the earth? Those of you who spent and fought in the Cause ofAllah before the victory, shall receive higher ranks of honorthan the others who spent and fought thereafter. Yet Allah haspromised you all a good reward, and Allah is aware of all youractions.
Who is the one that will give to Allah a goodly loan, so that Hemay increase it manifold to his credit and give him a liberalreward besides it.
They ask you what they should spend in charity. Say: "Whateveryou spend with a good heart, give it to parents, relatives, orphans, the helpless, and travellers in need. Whatever good youdo, Allah is aware of it.
who, when they spend, are neither extravagant nor stingy, butkeep the balance between those two extremes;
You will never find any people who believe in Allah and the lastDay on friendly terms with those who oppose Allah and His Rasool, even though they be their fathers, their sons, their brothers ortheir relatives. It is they in whose hearts Allah has inscribedfaith and has strengthened them with a spirit of His own. He willadmit them to gardens beneath which rivers flow, to live thereinforever. Allah will be well pleased with them, and they will bewell pleased with Him. They are the party of Allah. Beware!Surely it is the party of Allah that will be successful.
The angels and the Spirit (Gabriel) come down with every decree,by the leave of their Rabb,
Therefore be patient with what they say. Glorify your Rabb withHis praise before sunrise and before sunset, glorify Him duringthe hours of the night as well as at the ends of the day, so thatyou may find satisfaction.
Section 1 He (the Prophet) frowned and turned away
when there came to him the blind man (Ibn Umme Maktum, who cameto the Prophet and interrupted his conversation with the chiefsof Makkah).
How could you tell? He might have sought to purify himself
or become reminded and might have benefited from Our reminder.
As for him who is indifferent,
to whom you were attending;
you will not be held responsible if he would not purify himself.
Yet to him who came to you with zeal on his own
and with fear of Allah in his heart,
you gave no heed.
It should not be so! Indeed, this is but an admonition;
let him who wants, accept it.
Therefore be patient with what they say. Glorify your Rabb withHis praise before sunrise and before sunset, glorify Him duringthe hours of the night as well as at the ends of the day, so thatyou may find satisfaction.
The Prophet is closer to the believers than their own selves andhis wives are as their mothers. Blood relatives have a greaterclaim on one another than the other believers and the Muhajirin(early Muslims who migrated from Makkah to Madinah) according tothe Book of Allah: although you are permitted to some good(through leaving bequests) for your friends . This has beenwritten in the Book of Allah.
The Hour of Doom is drawing near, the moon has split asunder;which is a clear proof that the same thing can happen to theearth.
Yet when they see a sign, the unbelievers turn their backs andsay: "This is an ingenious magic."
They deny this and keep on following their own fancies.Ultimately every matter shall be laid to rest.
Surely those who divide the religion into sects and identifythemselves as a sect, O Muhammad, you have nothing to do withthem. Their case will be called to account by Allah Himself, Hewill inform them as to what they did.
But the people have divided their religion into sects betweenthem- to Us they shall all return.
Yet people have divided themselves into factions and each factionrejoices in its own doctrines
- well! Leave them in their heedlessness for an appointed time.
those who divide their religion into sects and become separategroups, each group rejoicing in its own circle.
They ask you about booty (spoils of war). Tell them: "The Bootybelongs to Allah and His Rasool: so fear Allah, end yourdisputes, and correct the relations between yourselves: obeyAllah and His Rasool if you are true believers."
