O believers! Do not enter the houses of the Prophet withoutpermission, nor stay waiting for meal time: but if you areinvited to a meal, enter, and when you have eaten disperse and donot seek long conversation. Such behavior annoys the Prophet, hefeels shy in asking you to leave, but Allah does not feel shy intelling the truth. If you have to ask his wives for anything,speak to them from behind a curtain. This is more chaste for yourhearts and for theirs. It is not proper for you to annoy theRasool of Allah, nor ever to marry his wives after him; thiswould be a grievous offence in the sight of Allah.
He has only forbidden you to eat carrion (meat of dead a body),blood, pork, and that over which any name other than Allah hasbeen invoked. But if one is forced by necessity, intendingneither to break the Divine Law nor to transgress limits, thensurely Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.
You shall not falsely declare with your tongues: "This is lawful,and that is forbidden," in order to ascribe false things toAllah, for those who forge lies against Allah will never prosper.
When my servants question you about Me, tell them that I am veryclose to them. I answer the prayer of every suppliant when hecalls Me; therefore, they should respond to Me and put theirtrust in Me, so that they may be rightly guided.
And listen! The Day when the Caller will call out from a placequite near,
the Day when the people will hear the mighty blast in reality;that will be the Day of coming forth (the dead will rise fromtheir graves).
Surely it is We Who give life and death; and to Us shall allreturn,
on that Day when the earth shall split asunder and the peopleshall be rushing out of it; that gathering them together shall bequite easy for Us.
Before this we used to find a seat in heaven for eavesdropping,but now eavesdroppers find shooting stars lying in ambush forthem.
The Rasool has believed in the Guidance which has been revealedto him from his Rabb and so do the Believers. They all believe inAllah, His angels, His books and His Rasools. They say we do notdiscriminate against anyone of His Rasools. And they say: "Wehear and we obey. Grant us Your forgiveness, O Rabb; to You weshall all return."
Surely in this there is a lesson for every person who has aheart, and can hear and witness.
O Believers, do not say to our Rasool: "Ra'ina" (an ambiguousword for: "Listen, may you become deaf" or "Our shepherd" or inJudeo-Arabic language conveys the sense, "our evil one.") But say"Unzurna" ("look upon" us "or pay attention" to us) and listen tohim carefully; and remember that there is a painful punishmentfor the unbelievers.
O believers! If you were to obey a group of those who were giventhe Book, they will turn you back from belief to unbelief.
Once the matter has been decided, Shaitan will say: "In fact, thepromises which Allah made to you were all true; I too made somepromises to you but failed to keep any of them. However, I had nopower over you. I just invited you, and you accepted myinvitation. Now! Do not blame me, but blame yourselves. I cannothelp you, nor you can help me. I reject what you did before; thatyou associated me with Allah. Certainly such wrongdoers will havepainful punishment."
And among His signs is your sleep at night and quest for Hisbounty during the day; surly there are signs in this for thosewho pay heed.
We are the One Who established you on earth, and provided youmeans of your sustenance therein: yet little it is that you paythanks.
Those who do not wish to be guided say: "If we go along with youand accept this guidance, we shall be driven out from our land."But have We not given them a secure sanctuary to which arebrought the fruits of all kinds as a provision from Us? But mostof them have no knowledge.
How many towns have We destroyed who once flourished in theireconomy? Just see those dwellings of theirs, only a few of whichhave been inhabited after them; at last We Alone became theirinheritors.
Your Rabb would never destroy the towns until He had sent intheir metropolis a Rasool, proclaiming to them Our revelations;and We would not destroy towns except when their dwellers hadbecome wrongdoers.
The things which you have been given are but the provisions andadornments of this worldly life; and that which is with Allah isbetter and more lasting. Why don't you use your common sense?
Can a person to whom We have made a handsome promise and he issure to receive it, be like the one to whom We have only giventhe provisions of this world and he is scheduled to be presentedon the Day of Resurrection for punishment?
Among His signs is the creation of the heavens and the earth, andthe living creatures that He has spread in both of them: and Heis capable of gathering them all together whenever He wants.
Whenever the news of a female child is announced to any one ofthem, his face darkens and he chokes with inward gloom.
when the infant girls buried alive (here reference is made to thePre-Islamic Arab custom of burying new born girls alive) will bequestioned
for what sin she was killed;
Let those women, during their waiting period ('Iddat), live whereyou yourselves live according to your means. You shall not harassthem so as to make life intolerable for them. If they arepregnant, maintain them until their delivery: and if, after that,they suckle your offspring, compensate them and settle the matterof compensation with mutual consultation and in all fairness. Butif you cannot bear with each other then let another woman sucklethe baby for you.
Let the rich man give according to his means, and the poor mangive according to what Allah has given him. Allah does not chargea man with more than He has given him; soon Allah may bring easeafter hardship.
Today all good clean things have been made lawful for you; andthe food of the People of the Book is also made lawful for youand your food is made lawful for them. Likewise, marriage withchaste free believing women and also chaste women among thePeople who were given the Book before you is made lawful for you,provided that you give them their dowries and desire chastity,neither committing fornication nor taking them as mistresses.Anyone who commits Kufr with Iman (rejects faith), all his gooddeeds will be in vain and in the Hereafter he will be one of thelosers.

If you lend to Allah a goodly loan, He will pay you backmanifold, and will forgive you your sins. Allah is Appreciativeand Forbearing to those who are grateful.
Surely your Rabb knows that you stand in prayers nearly two-thirds of the night, and sometimes one-half or one-third of it,so do others among your companions. Allah has the measures of thenight and the day. He knows that you will not be able to keep itup, so He has turned to you in Mercy, therefore, read from theQur'an as much as you easily can. He knows that there may be somesick people among you, and some others who travel through theland to seek Allah's bounty; and yet some others fighting for thecause of Allah. Therefore, read as much of the Qur'an as youeasily can. Establish the Salah (five time daily prayers) and paythe Zakah (poor due), and give to Allah a goodly loan. Whatevergood you will send forth for yourselves, you will find it withAllah, which will be much better and greater in reward. SeekAllah's forgiveness, surely Allah is Oft-Forgiving, MostMerciful.
Who will loan to Allah a beautiful loan which Allah will increasemany fold? Allah alone can decrease and increase wealth, and toHim you all shall return.
The Jews and the Christians say: "We are the children of Allahand His beloved ones." Ask them, "Why then does He punish you foryour sins? Nay! In fact you are human beings like others which Hehas created. He forgives whom He pleases and He punishes whom Hepleases. To Allah belongs the sovereignty of the heavens and theearth and all that is between them, and to Him is the finalrefuge."
Who is the one that will give to Allah a goodly loan, so that Hemay increase it manifold to his credit and give him a liberalreward besides it.

O Prophet, say to them: "Whether you call Him Allah or call HimRahman; it is all the same by whichever name you call Him becausefor Him are all the Finest names. Offer your Salah neither in tooloud a voice nor in too low a voice but seek a middle course
Some of the desert Arabs look upon whatever they spend in the wayof Allah as a penalty and wait for some misfortune to befall you.May misfortune befall them! Allah hears all and knows all.
But some of the desert Arabs believe in Allah and the Last Day,and look on what they spend in the way of Allah as a means ofbringing them close to Allah and to the prayers of the Rasool.Indeed, closer they shall be brought: soon Allah will admit themto His mercy. Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.

They (Jews and Christians) have taken their rabbis and priests tobe their Lords beside Allah and so they did with Messiah (Jesus)the son of Maryam (Mary), although they were commanded in theTorah and the Gospel to worship none but One Ilah (Allah);besides Whom there is none worthy of worship. Exalted be He abovethose whom they associate with Him.
They desire to extinguish the light of Allah with their mouthsbut Allah will not allow it to happen, for He seeks to perfectHis light even though the disbelievers may dislike it.
Therefore, call them to the true Deen, stay firm on the Right Wayas you are commanded and do not follow their vain desires. Tellthem: "I believe in whatever Allah has revealed from the Book andI am commanded to do justice between you. Allah is Our Rabb andyour Rabb. We are responsible for Our deeds and you for yours.Let there be no dispute among us. Allah will bring us alltogether on the Day of Judgement and decide as to who is rightand who is wrong. Towards Him lies the goal.

He would never ask you to take angels and prophets as your lords.Would he ask you to become kafir (unbelievers) after you havebecome Muslims (believers)?
We shall surely test your steadfastness with fear and famine,with loss of property, life and produce. Give good news to thosewho endure with patience;
who, when afflicted with calamity, say: "We belong to Allah andto Him we shall return."
Such are the people on whom there are blessings and Mercy fromAllah; and they are the ones that are rightly guided.

As for yourselves, I have conveyed to you the Truth and if you donot believe, then worship what you want besides Him." Say: "Thereal losers are those who will lose their souls as well theirfamilies on the Day of Resurrection. Ah! That will indeed be anopen Loss."
So We delivered him and all his family
except an old woman who was left among those who remained behind.
Then We utterly destroyed the rest.
We rained down on them the rain of brimstones: and evil was therain which fell on those who were forewarned.
Surely in this story there is a great lesson, but most of thesepeople do not learn a lesson and become believers.
Then We saved all those who were believers in the town
- We found none but one household of true Muslims
- We left therein a sign for those who fear the painfulpunishment.
If they deny you O Muhammad, remember that before them the peopleof Nuh (Noah), 'Ad and Thamud;
the people of Ibrahim (Abraham) and Lut (Lot);
as well as the residents of Madyan had denied their Prophets,likewise Musa (Moses) was also denied. Initially, I gave respiteto all those unbelievers and then I seized them: see how terriblewas My disapproval!
So did Thamud, the people of Lut and those of Aiykah (the peopleof Median) - all divided themselves into factions;
all charged their Rasools as liars, so just was my torment ofannihilating them.
Another example is the people of Lut (Lot) who disbelieved Ourwarning.
We let loose on them a stone-charged tornado which spared noneexcept Lut's household, whom We saved by early dawn
Lut did warn them of Our scourge but they doubted his warnings.
They even sought to snatch away his guests from him but Weblinded their eyes, and said: "Now taste My punishment and theresult of disbelieving My warning."
At daybreak they were overtaken by a lasting punishment
as if to say: "Now taste My punishment and the result ofdisbelieving My warning."
Surely We have left a clear sign from it (the ruins of this town)for people who care to understand.

Allah has set an example to the unbelievers in the wife of Nuh(Noah) and the wife of Lut (Lot). They were married to two of Ourrighteous servants, but they betrayed them. In no way could theirhusbands protect them from Allah. Both of them were told: "Enterthe fire, along with those who enter."
But they gave no heed. So We let loose upon them the waters ofthe dam (called Ma'arib) and We converted their two gardens intothe gardens producing bitter fruit, tamarisks and a few lotbushes.
near Sidra-tul-Muntaha (the Lot-tree at the farthest end of theseven heavens, beyond which none can pass).
They shall be among the thornless lot trees,
The life of men when they get to the age of puberty is tempted bydesire for women when they get married children, when they getchildren the hoarding of treasures of gold and silver, splendidhorses, cattle, and plantations. These are the comforts for thetransitory life of this world; the everlasting best comfort,however, is with Allah.
Say : "Shall I tell you of better things than these, with whichthe righteous will be rewarded by their Rabb? There will begardens beneath which rivers flow, where they will live foreverwith spouses of perfect chastity and the good pleasure of Allah.Allah is watching His servants very closely."
These unbelievers love the transitory life of this world andneglect the heavy Day that is coming ahead.

He is the one who created you from a single being and from thatbeing He created his mate, so that he might find comfort withher. When he covers her, she conceives a light burden and walksaround with it. When it grows heavy they both pray to Allah theirRabb saying: "If You will grant us a healthy child, we will betruly thankful."
Such a blessing is the good news which Allah gives to Hisservants who believe and do good deeds. O Prophet, say to them:"I do not ask you any recompense except your love for being myclose relatives." He that does a good deed shall be repaid manytimes over. Surely Allah is oft-Forgiving, most Appreciative.

When you have crossed the red sea along with your peoplemiraculously, then leave the sea divided; for they are a host whoare destined to be drowned."
How many gardens and springs they left behind!
And agriculture and grand palaces!
And means of luxury and comfort which they used to enjoy!
Thus was their end! And We let other people inherit what was oncetheirs.
Neither Heaven nor earth sheds tears for them; nor were theygiven a respite.
Those who rejoice in their misdeeds and wish to be praised forwhat they have not actually done, should never think that theywill escape the punishment; in fact they shall have a painfulpunishment;

Righteousness is not whether you turn your face towards East orWest; but the righteousness is to believe in Allah, the Last Day,the Angels, the Books and the Prophets, and to spend wealth outof love for Him on relatives, orphans, helpless, needytravellers, those who ask for and on the redemption of captives;and to establish Salah (prayers), to pay Zakah (alms), to fulfillpromises when made, to be steadfast in distress, in adversity,and at the time of war. These people are the truthful and theseare the pious.
They are the ones who love the life of this world more than thehereafter, who debar others from the Way of Allah and seek tomake it crooked: they have gone far astray into error.
There are some who worship other deities besides Allah(mushrikin), they love them as they should love Allah, whereasthe believers are strong in love for Allah. If those who areunjust could visualize (the Day of Judgement) when they will seethe chastisement, they would come to know for sure that allpowers belong to Allah and that Allah is stern in retribution.
Tell the people O Muhammad: "If you sincerely love Allah, thenfollow me; Allah will also love you and forgive you your sins.Allah is Forgiving, Merciful."
O believers! Whoever among you renounce Islam let him do so; soonAllah will replace them with others whom He will love and theywill love Him, who will be humble towards the believers, mightyagainst the unbelievers, striving hard in the way of Allah, andwill have no fear of reproach from any critic. Now this is thegrace of Allah which He bestows on whom He pleases. Allah hasboundless knowledge.
