There are some among the people of the Book who truly believe inAllah and what has been revealed to you, O Muhammad, and what hasbeen revealed to them before you. They humble themselves beforeAllah and do not sell the revelations of Allah for a petty price.For them, there will be a reward from their Rabb. Surely Allah isvery swift in settling the accounts.
Do not argue with the People of the Book except in good taste -except with those who are wicked among them - and say: "Webelieve in that which is sent down to us and that which is sentdown to you; Our God and your God is the same One God to Whom wesubmit as Muslims."
Therefore, call them to the true Deen, stay firm on the Right Wayas you are commanded and do not follow their vain desires. Tellthem: "I believe in whatever Allah has revealed from the Book andI am commanded to do justice between you. Allah is Our Rabb andyour Rabb. We are responsible for Our deeds and you for yours.Let there be no dispute among us. Allah will bring us alltogether on the Day of Judgement and decide as to who is rightand who is wrong. Towards Him lies the goal.
Yet there you are, killing your own people, expelling a groupamongst you from their homes, backing each other with sin andaggression; and if they come to you as captives, you trade themfor ransoms whereas their expulsion was unlawful for you to beginwith. Do you believe in a part of your Holy Book and reject therest? So what other punishment do such people among you, whobehave like this, deserve, than disgrace in this world and to bedriven to grievous punishment on the Day of Judgment? Allah isnot unaware of what you do.
Such are the people who trade the life of this world at theexpense of the Hereafter; so neither their punishment shall belightened nor shall they be helped.
Righteousness is not whether you turn your face towards East orWest; but the righteousness is to believe in Allah, the Last Day,the Angels, the Books and the Prophets, and to spend wealth outof love for Him on relatives, orphans, helpless, needytravellers, those who ask for and on the redemption of captives;and to establish Salah (prayers), to pay Zakah (alms), to fulfillpromises when made, to be steadfast in distress, in adversity,and at the time of war. These people are the truthful and theseare the pious.
The Rasool has believed in the Guidance which has been revealedto him from his Rabb and so do the Believers. They all believe inAllah, His angels, His books and His Rasools. They say we do notdiscriminate against anyone of His Rasools. And they say: "Wehear and we obey. Grant us Your forgiveness, O Rabb; to You weshall all return."
Serve Allah and do not commit shirk (associate any partner) withHim, and be good to your parents, kinfolks, orphans, thehelpless, near and far neighbors who keep company with you, thetravellers in need, and the slaves you own. Allah does not lovethose who are arrogant and boastful,
This is the blessed Book, like the one given to Musa (Moses),which We have revealed, confirming what came before it, that you,O Muhammad, may warn the people living in the Mother City(Makkah) and those who live around her. Those who believe in thehereafter, will believe in this (Book) and will be steadfast intaking care of their Salah (prescribed prayers).
even though he had no authority over them. It all happenedbecause We wanted to see who among them believed in the hereafterand who is in doubt concerning it. Your Rabb is watching over allthings.
they believe in Allah and the Last Day they enjoin good andforbid evil and rush in emulating each other in good deeds. Theseare the righteous people.
who believe in this Revelation (The Qur'an) which is sent to you(O Muhammad) and the Revelations which were sent before you(Torah, Psalms, Gospel...) and firmly believe in the Hereafter.
Say: "We believe in Allah and that which is revealed to us; andwhat was revealed to Ibrahim (Abraham), Isma'il (Ishmael), Ishaq(Isaac), Ya'qoob (Jacob) and their descendants, and that whichwas given to Musa (Moses), Isa (Jesus) and other Prophets fromtheir Rabb. We do not discriminate any of them, and to Allah wehave surrendered ourselves (in Islam)."
O Prophet, say: "We believe in Allah and what is revealed to usand what was revealed to Ibrahim (Abraham), Isma`il (Ishmael),Ishaq (Isaac), Ya'qoob (Jacob) and their descendants; and in thatwhich was given to Musa (Moses), Isa (Jesus) and other Prophetsfrom their Rabb; we do not discriminate any one of them, and toAllah do we submit in Islam."
O believers! Believe in Allah, His Rasool, the Book which He hasrevealed to His Rasool, and every Book which He previouslyrevealed. He who denies Allah, His angels, His Books, His Rasoolsand the Last Day has gone far astray.
However, those among them who are well-grounded in knowledge andthose who truly believe in what has been revealed to you, OMuhammad, and other Prophets before you, establishes Salah, paysZakah, and believes in Allah and the Last Day, will soon be givena mighty reward.

O People of the Book! Do not transgress the limits of yourreligion. Speak nothing but the Truth about Allah. The Messiah,Isa (Jesus) the son of Maryam (Mary) was no more than a Rasool ofAllah and His Word "Be" which He bestowed on Maryam and a Spiritfrom Him which took the shape of a child in her womb. So believein Allah and His Rasools and do not say: "Trinity"." Stop sayingthat, it is better for you. Allah is only One Deity. He is farabove from the need of having a son! To Him belongs all that isin the heavens and in the Earth. Allah Alone is sufficient forprotection.
They themselves have turned away from the truth and also forbidother people to believe in it. With such a behavior they harmnone but their own souls but they do not perceive it.
who believe in the Unseen, who establish Salah (five regulardaily prayers) and spend in charity out of what We have providedfor their sustenance;
You should know that your wealth and your children are, in fact,a test for you, and that Allah is He with Whom is your mightyreward.

so that they may witness the benefits which are made availablehere for them, and pronounce the name of Allah over the cattlewhich We have provided as food for them, on the appointed days,then eat meat themselves and feed the indigent and needy.
O Muhammad, say: "Come, I will recite what your Rabb hasforbidden to you: not to commit shirk with Him, to be kind toyour parents, not to kill your children making the excuse ofinability to support them - We provide sustenance for you and forthem - not to commit shameful deeds whether open or secret, notto kill any soul forbidden by Allah except for the requirementsof justice. These are the things which He enjoined you so thatyou may learn wisdom.
If anyone changes the bequest after hearing it, the sin of itthen is on those who make the change. Allah hears and knowseverything.
But there is no blame on the one who suspects an error or aninjustice on the part of the testator and brings about asettlement among the parties. Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.
The will is made obligatory before the death of anyone of you whois leaving some property behinds to bequest it equitably to hisparents and relatives. This is a duty incumbent on the righteous.
If the relatives, orphans or needy are present at the time of thedivision of an inheritance, give them something out of it, andspeak to them kind words.
Let those (disposing of an estate) have the same fear in theirminds as they would have for their own if they were to leave ahelpless family behind: they should, therefore, fear Allah andspeak for justice.
Those of you who die and leave widows should bequeath for them ayear's maintenance without causing them to leave their homes; butif they leave the residence on their own there is no blame on youfor what they chose for themselves in a fair way. Allah isMighty, Wise.
O believers! When death approaches any one of you, let two justmen from among yourselves act as witnesses at the time of makingyour last will; or from the non-Muslims if you are travellingthrough the land and the calamity of death overtakes you. If youdoubt their honesty, detain them after prayer and let them bothswear by Allah: "We will not sell our testimony for any price,even to a relative, and we will not hide the testimony which wewill be giving for the sake of Allah; for we shall be sinners ifwe do so."
Then, if it becomes known that those two were guilty of the sinof perjury, then let two others better qualified witnesses fromamong those who were deprived of their right come forward andtestify upon oath, "By Allah, our testimony is truer than theirs.We have not transgressed in our testimony; for we should bewrongdoers if we did so."
By this procedure, it is more likely that they will bear truewitness or at least fear that their oaths could be contradictedby subsequent oaths. Have fear of Allah and listen; Allah doesnot guide to those who are disobedient transgressors.

When the forbidden months (10,11,12 & 1 of the Islamic calendar) are over, then fight the mushrikïn wherever you find them, seize them, besiege them, and lie in ambush for them in every stratagem of war, but if they repent, establish Salah and pay Zakah, then let them go their way: surely Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.
Allah is the Self-Sufficient (independent of all, while all aredependent on Him);
Call people to the Way of your Rabb with wisdom and best advice,and reason with them, if you have to, in the most courteousmanner: for your Rabb knows best who strays from His Way and Heknows best who is rightly guided.
Surely those who believe and do good deeds, are the best of allcreatures.
Their reward with their Rabb shall be the gardens of Eden,beneath which the rivers flow, to dwell therein forever. Allahshall be well pleased with them and they shall be well pleasedwith Him. That is for him who fears his Rabb.
Follow the best way that is revealed to you by your Rabb beforethe scourge comes to you all of a sudden while you do not evenperceive it.
Lest someone should say: 'Alas! I neglected my duty towards Allahand I was one of those who mocked at His revelations.'
Or lest he should say: `If Allah had guided me, I would have beenone of the righteous.'
Or lest he should say upon seeing the punishment: `I wish I hadanother chance, I would certainly be among the righteous.'"
Then Allah will say to him: "My revelations did come to you; butyou denied them, were arrogant and you were among thedisbelievers."
We have indeed created man in the best stature;
who listen to the Word and follow the best meaning of it. Suchare the ones whom Allah has guided and such are the ones who areendowed with understanding.
Who is better in speech than the one who calls people towardsAllah, does good deeds and says: "I am a Muslim?"
O believers! Do not betray the trust of Allah and His Rasool, norviolate your trusts knowingly.
O believers! Do not betray the trust of Allah and His Rasool, norviolate your trusts knowingly.
We have revealed to you the Book with the Truth so that you mayjudge between people in accordance with the Right Way which Allahhas shown you, so be not an advocate for those who betray trust;
Allah has set an example to the unbelievers in the wife of Nuh(Noah) and the wife of Lut (Lot). They were married to two of Ourrighteous servants, but they betrayed them. In no way could theirhusbands protect them from Allah. Both of them were told: "Enterthe fire, along with those who enter."
