In both these Qur'anic allusions the Prophet is said to have been "made to see" (i.e., given to understand) some, but not all, of the ultimate truths (cf. also {7:187-188}); and this, too, serves to explain the idea expressed in verse {10} above.
The Prophet was taken to heaven to see some of Allah’s magnificent signs. He only saw what he was told to see.
