Man is a strange creature: when We bestow Our favors on man, heturns his back and drifts off to one side (instead of coming toUs) and whenever evil touches him, he gives himself up todespair.
When We give mankind a taste of blessing, they rejoice, but whensome evil afflicts them because of their own misdeeds, lo! Theyare in despair.
No affliction can happen on earth nor to your souls, which is notrecorded in a Book, before We bring it into existence; surelythat is easy for Allah.
This is done so that you may not grieve for the things that youmiss, or be overjoyed at what you gain; for Allah does not loveany vainglorious boaster,
nor those who, being stingy themselves, enjoin others to bestingy also. He that gives no heed should know that Allah is freeof all needs, worthy of all praises.
Allah says: "O My servants who have transgressed against theirsouls, do not despair of Allah's mercy, for Allah forgives allsins. It is He Who is the Forgiving, the Merciful.
Turn in repentance to your Rabb, and submit to Him before therecomes to you the scourge: for then, there shall be none to helpyou.
If We let man taste any mercy from Us, then withdraw it from him,he becomes despairing, ungrateful.
But when He tries him through restricting his subsistence, hesays: "My Rabb has humiliated me."
Do not associate another deity with Allah, lest you sit back, condemned, forsaken.
Have these people not learned a lesson that; We have destroyedbefore them many generations in whose ruins they walk through?Certainly in these ruins there are Signs for people ofunderstanding.
Do they not learn a lesson from the historical events of how manygenerations We have destroyed before them in whosedwelling-places they move about? Surely there are signs in this.Do they not listen?
Give generously for the cause of Allah and do not cast yourselvesinto destruction by your own hands. Be charitable: Allah lovesthose who are charitable.
Another example is in the life of Maryam, the daughter of `Imran, who guarded her chastity, and into whose womb We breathed of Ourspirit, who testified to the words of her Rabb, and Hisscriptures, and was one of the obedient.
It is made lawful for you to approach your wives during the nightof the fast; they are an apparel for you and you for them. Allahknows that you were committing dishonesty to your souls. So Hehas relented towards you and pardoned you. Now, you may approachyour wives and seek what Allah has written for you. Eat and drinkuntil the white thread of dawn appears to you distinct from theblack thread of night, then complete your fast till nightfall. Donot approach your wives during I'htikaf (retreat in the mosquesin last ten days of Ramadhan). These are the limits set by Allah:do not ever violate them. Thus Allah makes His revelations clearto mankind so that they may guard themselves against evil.
Whatever you spend in charity or whatever vow you make, surelyAllah knows it. The wrongdoers shall have no helpers.
Guard your Salah (obligatory regular prayers) especially themiddle Salah and stand up with true devotion to Allah.
It may well be that, if he divorce you all, his Rabb will givehim in your place better wives than yourselves, submissive, faithful, obedient, penitent, worshippers and keepers of fasting;be they previously married or virgins.

O wives of the Prophet! If any of you were guilty of openindecency, her punishment will be increased to double and this iseasy for Allah.
JUZ (PART): 22 Those of you (O wives of the Prophet Muhammad)who obey Allah and His Rasool and practice righteousness, shallbe granted double reward, and for them We have prepared agenerous provision.
It is neither their meat nor their blood that reaches Allah; itis your piety that reaches Him. Thus, He has subjected theseanimals to you so that you may glorify Allah for giving youguidance, and O Prophet, give good news to those who do good toothers.
Greedily you lay your hands on the inheritance of the weak,
Do not misappropriate one another's property unjustly, nor bribethe judges, in order to misappropriate a part of other people'sproperty, sinfully and knowingly.
Those who live on usury will not rise up before Allah except likethose who are driven to madness by the touch of Shaitan. That isbecause they claim: "Trading is no different than usury, butAllah has made trading lawful and usury unlawful. He who hasreceived the admonition from his Rabb and has mended his way maykeep his previous gains; Allah will be his judge. Those who turnback (repeat this crime), they shall be the inmates of hellfirewherein they will live for ever.
Allah has laid His curse on usury and blessed charity to prosper.Allah does not love any ungrateful sinner.
O believers! Do not live on usury (compound interest) which iscompounded over and over again. Have fear of Allah so that youmay prosper.
Give orphans the property which belongs to them when they areable to handle it themselves and do not substitute your worthlessthings for their valuable ones; and do not cheat them of theirpossession through mixing it up with your own. For this wouldindeed be a great sin.
If you fear that you shall not be able to treat the orphans withfairness, then you should not marry the women with orphanchildren; marry other women of your choice: two, three or four. But if you fear that you will not be able to maintain justicebetween your wives, then marry only one or any slave girl you mayown. That will be more suitable , so that you may not deviatefrom the Right Way.
Do not entrust your property which Allah has made a means ofsupport for your family, to feebleminded people for investment inbusiness, however, provide such people with food and clothing andspeak to them nicely and give them good advice.
Observe the orphans through testing their abilities until theyreach the age of marriage, then if you find them capable of soundjudgment, hand over to them their property; and do not consume itwastefully in haste lest they grow up to demand it. If theguardian is well-off, he should not take compensation from theorphan's property, but if he is poor let him take a just andreasonable remuneration. When you hand over their property tothem, call in some witnesses; even though Allah is sufficient intaking the accountability.
In fact, those who misappropriate the property of orphansunjustly, swallow but fire into their bellies; they will soon becast into the blazing fire!
They shall have no food except bitter thorny fruit,
We blessed Zun-nun (Yunus / Jonah), when he departed in anger, thinking We would not take him to task for this, but later heprayed to Us from the depths of darkness, "There is no god butYou, glory be to You! Indeed I was the one who committed wrong."
We accepted his prayer and delivered him from distress; thus doWe deliver the believers.
Also mention Isma'il, Al-Yas'a (Elisha) and Zul-Kifl; all of themwere among the best.
O believers! When you deal with each other in lending for a fixedperiod of time, put it in writing. Let a scribe write it downwith justice between the parties. The scribe, who is given thegift of literacy by Allah, should not refuse to write; he isunder obligation to write. Let him who incurs the liability(debtor) dictate, fearing Allah his Rabb and not diminishinganything from the settlement. If the borrower is mentally unsoundor weak or is unable to dictate himself, let the guardian of hisinterests dictate for him with justice. Let two witnesses fromamong you bear witness to all such documents, if two men cannotbe found, then one man and two women of your choice should bearwitness, so that if one of the women forgets anything the othermay remind her. The witnesses must not refuse when they arecalled upon to do so. You must not be averse to writing (yourcontract) for a future period, whether it is a small matter orbig. This action is more just for you in the sight of Allah, because it facilitates the establishment of evidence and is thebest way to remove all doubts; but if it is a common commercialtransaction concluded on the spot among yourselves, there is noblame on you if you do not put it in writing. You should havewitnesses when you make commercial transactions. Let no harm bedone to the scribe or witnesses; and if you do so, you shall beguilty of transgression. Fear Allah; it is Allah that teaches youand Allah has knowledge of everything.

Say: "Our Rabb will bring us all together, then He will rightlyjudge between us. He is the Judge Who knows everything."
Yet inspite of recognizing all this, they have made some of Hisservants to be a part of Him! Surely mankind is clearlyungrateful.
The Jews say: "The Christians are not on the right track," andthe Christians say: "It is the Jews who are not on the righttrack," yet both read their Holy Books (Torah or Gospel). Andthose who have no knowledge of their Holy Books say like to whatboth of them say; so Allah will judge between them in theirdispute on the Day of Judgment.
Surely your Rabb will decide between them, on the Day ofResurrection, concerning those matters wherein they differ amongthemselves.
Pray: "O Allah! Creator of the heavens and the earth, Who has theknowledge of the unseen and the seen! You Alone can judge thedisputes of your servants concerning those matters in which theydiffer."
Therefore, call them to the true Deen, stay firm on the Right Wayas you are commanded and do not follow their vain desires. Tellthem: "I believe in whatever Allah has revealed from the Book andI am commanded to do justice between you. Allah is Our Rabb andyour Rabb. We are responsible for Our deeds and you for yours.Let there be no dispute among us. Allah will bring us alltogether on the Day of Judgement and decide as to who is rightand who is wrong. Towards Him lies the goal.
As for the Sabbath, it was ordained for those who differed aboutits observance. Surely your Rabb will judge between them on theDay of Judgment about that over which they differ.
Surely your Rabb will decide between them, on the Day ofResurrection, concerning those matters wherein they differ amongthemselves.
In the earth there are tracts side by side: gardens of grapes, cornfields and palm trees with single and double trunks - theyare all watered with the same water, yet We make some of themexcel others in taste. Surely in this, there are signs for peoplewho use their common sense.
O Prophet tell them: Whatever the subject of your dispute is, itsjudgement belongs to Allah: Such is Allah my Rabb, in Him I haveput my trust, and to Him I turn in repentance.
Pray: "O Allah! Creator of the heavens and the earth, Who has theknowledge of the unseen and the seen! You Alone can judge thedisputes of your servants concerning those matters in which theydiffer."
Surely with every difficulty there is relief.
Those are the ones who do not bear witness to falsehood and, ifthey ever pass by futility, pass with dignity.
