They set aside a portion of what We have provided them with, forthose deities about whom they know nothing. By Allah! You shallmost certainly be questioned about the lies you fabricate.
Forbidden to you for marriage are: your mothers, your daughters, your sisters, your paternal aunts, your maternal aunts, daughtersof your brothers, daughters of your sisters, your foster-mothers,your foster-sisters, the mothers of your wives, yourstepdaughters under your guardianship from those wives with whomyou have consummated your marriage, but there is no blame on youin marrying your stepdaughters if you have not consummated yourmarriage with their mothers, whom you have divorced, and thewives of your own real sons; and you are also forbidden to takein marriage two sisters at one and the same time except whathappened prior to this commandment; surely Allah is Forgiving,Merciful.
This Qur'an is not such as could be produced by anyone other thanAllah; in fact it is the confirmation of prior revelations(Psalms, Torah, and Gospel) and fully explains the Holy Book(prior scriptures); there is no doubt in this fact that it is(revealed) from the Rabb of the Worlds.
Do they say: "He (the Prophet) has forged it?" Tell them: "Ifwhat you say be true; then produce one Surah like this, you mayeven call to your aid anyone you want other than Allah."
When We substitute one verse in favor of another to elaboratewith different examples - and Allah knows best what He reveals instages - they say: "You are but a forger." The fact is that mostof them do not understand.
Say, "The Holy Spirit (Gabriel) has brought it down piecemealintact from your Rabb to strengthen the faith of the believers, and to give guidance and good news to the Muslims."
We know very well what they say about you, O Muhammad: "A certainman teaches him." But the man they allude to speaks a foreignlanguage while this (The Qur'an) is in eloquent Arabic.
This Book (Al-Qur'an), which contains no doubt, is revealed bythe Rabb of the worlds.
Do the people say: "He (Muhammad) has forged it?" Nay! It is theTruth from your Rabb, so that you may warn a people to whom noWarner has come before you: so that they may receive guidance.
Do they say that the Prophet has fabricated it himself? OProphet, tell them: "If I have fabricated it myself, then thereis nothing that you can do to protect me from the wrath of Allah. He knows fully well what you say about it. Enough is He as awitness between me and you. He is the Oft-Forgiving, the MostMerciful."
O Prophet tell them: "I am no prodigy among the Rasools; nor do Iknow what will be done with me or with you. I follow only what isrevealed to me, and I am no more than a plain Warner."
Further say: "Think, if this Qur'an is indeed from Allah and youreject it, when a witness (a Jew) from the children of Israel hasalso testified to its similarity with earlier scriptures and hasbelieved (accepted Islam), while you are showing arrogance, howunjust you are! Surely Allah does not guide the unjust people."
We gave the Book to Musa - so be not in doubt for receiving thisBook which meets the same criteria - and We made it a guide forthe Children of Israel.
O Prophet say: "I would ask you one thing. For Allah's sake!Think individually or consult one another and ponder whether yourcompanion Muhammad is really mad? You yourself will come to theconclusion that he is nothing but a Warner to you to forewarn youof a sever punishment."
Whereas he had come with the truth and had confirmed the messageof prior Rasools.
Then it will be said: "You are surely going to taste the painfulpunishment:
and this reward is nothing except what you had done.
O Prophet, tell them: "I do not ask you any recompense forconveying this Message, nor do I pretend to be what I am not.
Certainly We have revealed to you the Book with the Truth:therefore worship Allah, offering Him your sincere obedience.
Therefore, O Prophet, keep up your mission of admonition. By thegrace of your Rabb you are neither a soothsayer nor a madman.
The Rasools We sent before you, O Muhammad, and to whom Werevealed Our Message, were also human beings. You (O people ofMakkah), may ask those who have the Reminder (The people of theBook), if you don't know this fact yourself.
We sent those Rasools with clear signs and scriptures; and now Wehave sent down the reminder to you (O Muhammad), so that you mayexplain clearly to mankind as to what was sent to them so thatthey may think about it.
Do they say: "He has made up the Qur'an himself." Say to them:"Make up ten Surahs like this and call to your aid whomsoever youcan, including your gods whom you worship, besides Allah if whatyou say is true.
But if those gods fail to answer you, then you should know that(they are false gods and that) this (Book) is revealed with theknowledge of Allah, and that there is no god but Him! Will youthen become Muslims?"
Can they be like those who have clear revelations from their Rabband to whom a witness from Himself recites it, and they have theBook of Musa before them - a guidance and a blessing? Can suchpeople deny the revelation of Al- Qur'an? No of course not, rather such people will believe in this, but those factions whodo not believe shall have their promised place in the Hellfire. So, O Prophet, do not be in any doubt about it; it is the Truthfrom your Rabb, even though most people do not believe so.
Declare: "Even if all human beings and Jinns combined theirresources to produce the like of this Qur'an, they would never beable to compose the like thereof, even if they backed up eachother as best as they could."
We have revealed the Qur'an in Truth, and with the Truth it hascome down: and O Muhammad, We have sent you only to give goodnews to the believers and to warn the unbelievers.
- so that those who are endowed with knowledge may realize thatthis (Qur'an) is the Truth from your Rabb and thus believe in itand humble their hearts towards Him, and surely Allah will guidethe believers to the Straight Way.
Or are they really convinced that he is a madman? Nay! In fact hehas brought them the Truth and most of them dislike the Truth.
Is it not sufficient proof for the people that the learned men ofthe children of Israel knew about it?
O Muhammad, you have never read a book before this nor have youever transcribed one with your right hand. Had you done either ofthese, the quibblers could suspect it.
Rather, these are clear signs in the breast of those who areendowed with knowledge: and none deny Our signs except thewrongdoers.
Those to whom knowledge has been given can see that therevelations send down to you from your Rabb are the Truth and itguides to the Way of the Almighty, the Praise Worthy.
O Prophet, what We have revealed to you of the Book is the Truth, which confirms the previous scriptures. Surely, with respect toHis servants, Allah is well Aware and fully Observant.
O Prophet, surely We have revealed to you the Book with thetruth, for the instruction of Mankind. He who follows the RightWay shall follow it for his own good; and he who goes astrayshall do so at his own peril. You are not set up as a guardianover them.
Do they say: "This man has invented this Qur'an himself?" Nay!They do not want to believe.
Let them produce a scripture like this, if what they say is true!
Why don't they research the Qur'an? Don't they realize that if itwas from someone other than Allah, they would find manydiscrepancies in it.
O Prophet, ask them: "Have you ever considered that out of thesustenance which Allah has given you, you yourselves have madesome things Halal (lawful) and others Haram (unlawful)? Ask them:"Did Allah permit you to do so, or do you ascribe a false thingto Allah?"
who dispute the revelations of Allah having no authorityvouchsafed to them. Such an attitude is disgusting in the sightof Allah and of the believers. Thus Allah seals up the heart ofevery arrogant transgressor."
After hearing this, Fir'on said: "O Haman! Build me a high towerthat I may attain the means of access,
Allah has promised those of you who believe and do good deedsthat He will most surely make them vicegerent in the earth as Hemade their ancestors before them, and that He will establish forthem their religion, the one which He has chosen for them, andthat He will change their present state of fear into peace andsecurity. Let them worship Me Alone and not to commit shirk withMe; and if anyone rejects faith after this, it is they who arethe transgressors.
O believers! Obey Allah, obey the Rasool and those charged withauthority among you. Should you have a dispute in anything, referit to Allah and His Rasool, if you truly believe in Allah and theLast Day. This course of action will be better and more suitable.
Whenever they hear news of peace or of danger, they spread itquickly; but if they would report it to the Rasool and to theresponsible people in the community, it would come to theknowledge of those who could draw the right conclusions. If ithad not been for Allah's grace and mercy, all of you with theexception of a few, would have followed Shaitan.
Who can be more wicked than the one who invents a lie againstAllah, or says: "This was revealed to me," while nothing wasrevealed to him? Or the one who says: "I can reveal the like ofwhat Allah has revealed?" If you could only see these wrongdoerswhen they are in the agonies of death and the angels stretchforth their hands saying, "Take out your soul! Today you will berewarded with a disgraceful punishment for saying falsehoodagainst Allah which you had no right to say and showing arroganceagainst His revelations!"
Allah adds to what the angels said, "So you have come back to UsAlone as We created you at the first time, leaving behind allthat which We gave you in that world and We don't see with youyour intercessors, whom you claimed to be Allah's partners inyour affairs; all your ties have been cut off and what youpresumed has failed you."
A share of the spoils shall also be given to those who made theirabode in Madinah (the Ansar) and believed even before thearrivals of the Muhajirin and love those who migrated to them andentertain no desire in their hearts for things given to them, andprefer those Muhajirin over themselves, even though theythemselves are poor. In fact those who are saved from thegreediness of hearts, are the ones who will achieve true success.
Those who remained behind (did not join the Tabuk expedition)were delighted to sit inactive behind Allah's Rasool, and theyhated to make Jihad with their goods and their persons in thecause of Allah. They said to each other "Do not go forth in theheat." Say to them: "The fire of hell is much more severe inheat." If only they could understand!
Let them laugh a little; much will they weep as a recompense forwhat they have earned.
From now on, if Allah brings you among them and any of them askyour permission to go forth for Jihad, say: "You shall never beallowed to go forth with me nor fight an enemy in my company. Youchose to sit inactive on the first occasion, therefore you shallnow stay with those who stay behind."
You shall never offer funeral prayer for any of them who dies, nor shall you attend their burial, for they have denied Allah andHis Rasool and died while they were transgressors.
Let neither their wealth nor their children dazzle you. Throughthese Allah wants to punish them in this world and let theirsouls depart while they are still disbelievers.
Whenever a Surah is revealed, saying: " Believe in Allah and makeJihad along with His Rasool," capable people among them ask youfor exemption, saying: "Please leave us with those who are tostay at home."
They preferred to be with those who remain behind, as a result, aseal was set upon their hearts so that they do not understand.
Behold, you are those who are being asked to give in the cause ofAllah. Yet some of you are stingy, whereas whoever is stingy toHis cause, is in fact stingy to himself. Allah is selfsufficient, it is you who are needy. If you turn away He willreplace you by some other folk; who will not be like you.
Those who remained behind (did not join the Tabuk expedition)were delighted to sit inactive behind Allah's Rasool, and theyhated to make Jihad with their goods and their persons in thecause of Allah. Repel evil with good - We are fully aware of their slanders
They are the ones who will be given their reward twice, becausethey have endured with fortitude, repelling evil with good andgiving in charity out of what We have given them.
Good deeds are not equal to the evil ones. Repel other's evildeeds with your good deeds. You will see that he with whom youhad enmity, will become your close friend.
But none will attain this quality except those who patientlyendure and none will attain this quality except those who aretruly fortunate.
If any time you are tempted by Shaitan, seek refuge with Allah. It is He Who hears all and knows all.
He will admit them to a place with which they shall be wellpleased; for Allah is All-Knowing, Most Lenient.
and make a proclamation of Hajj (Pilgrimage) to mankind: theywill come to you on foot and on lean camels from every distantquarter,
so that they may witness the benefits which are made availablehere for them, and pronounce the name of Allah over the cattlewhich We have provided as food for them, on the appointed days, then eat meat themselves and feed the indigent and needy.
Then they should accomplish their needful acts of shaving orcutting their hair and taking a bath, fulfill their vows and gofor Tawaf-e-Ziyarah to the Ancient House.
This was the object for which the Ka'bah was built, and whoeverhonors the sacred rites of Allah, it is good for him in the sightof his Rabb. The meat of cattle is lawful to you, except what hasalready been mentioned to you; therefore, shun the abomination ofidols and shun all false statements.
Dedicate yourselves to Allah and do not commit shirk with Him:for anyone who commits shirk, it is as though he had fallen fromthe sky; then his body is either snatched away by birds orcarried away by the wind to some far-off place,
Indeed successful are those believers
who are humble in their Salah (prayers),
who avoid vain talk,
who are punctual in the payment of Zakah (charity),
who guard their private parts
except with their spouses or those who are legally in theirpossession, for in that case they shall not be blamed
- however those who seek to go beyond that in lust are the oneswho shall be the transgressors
- who are true to their trust and covenants,
and who are diligent about their Salah (prayers).
These are the heirs
who will inherit paradise; and live therein forever.
When they hear vain talk, they withdraw from it saying: "Ourdeeds are for us and yours for you; peace be on to you: we do notdesire the way of ignorant."
If a women fears cruelty or desertion from her husband, there isno blame if both of them agree to reconcile by means of acompromise, after all compromise is better. Human souls are proneto narrow- mindedness, but if you show generosity and fear Allahin your dealings, surely Allah is well aware of your actions.
Those are the ones who do not bear witness to falsehood and, ifthey ever pass by futility, pass with dignity.
If you avoid the heinous sins which you have been forbidden, Wewill do away with your small sins and cause you to enter a placeof great honor (paradise).
Whatever you are given is nothing but a provision for thetransitory life of this world, better and ever lasting is thereward which Allah has for those who believe, put their trust intheir Rabb,
avoid major sins and shameful deeds, forgive even when they areangry;
To those who avoid the major sins and shameful deeds and areguilty of only small offence, surely for them your Rabb will haveabundant forgiveness. He knew you well when He created you fromearth and when you were just embryos in your mother's wombs, therefore, do not claim piety for yourselves. He knows best whois really Godfearing pious.
Nay! But you did not show kindness to the orphan,
Allah does not burden any human being with more than he can bear.Everyone will enjoy the credit of his deeds and suffer the debitsof his evil-doings.The believers say: "Our Rabb! Do notpunish us if we forget or make a mistake. Our Rabb! Do not placeon us a burden as You placed on those before us. Our Rabb! Laynot on us the kind of burden that we have no strength to bear.Pardon us, Forgive us, Have mercy on us. You are our Protector, help us against the unbelievers."
But in this life he neither believed, nor offered Salah (prayed);
O believers! Avoid immoderate suspicion, for in some casessuspicion is a sin. Do not spy on one another, nor backbite oneanother (to say something about another behind ones back that ifone hears it, dislikes it). Would any of you like to eat theflesh of his dead brother? Surely you would abhor it. Fear Allah;for Allah is the Accepter of repentance, Merciful.

those who do not pay Zakah and they deny the hereafter.
Therefore, wait for the judgement of your Rabb with patience, Weare surely watching over you. Glorify your Rabb with His praiseswhen you wake up,
Therefore, pay no heed to them, and wait as they are waiting.
Are they waiting for Allah to come down to them in the shadow ofclouds, along with the angels, and make His decision known?Ultimately all matters will be presented to Allah for decision.
Bring your Rabb to remembrance deep in your soul with humilityand in reverence without raising your voice, both in the morningsand in the evenings; and be not of those who are heedless.
