45:26

قُلِ ٱللَّهُ يُحْيِيكُمْ ثُمَّ يُمِيتُكُمْ ثُمَّ يَجْمَعُكُمْ إِلَىٰ يَوْمِ ٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِ لَا رَيْبَ فِيهِ وَلَـٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَ ٱلنَّاسِ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ Quli All a hu yu h yeekum thumma yumeetukum thumma yajmaAAukum il a yawmi alqiy a mati l a rayba feehi wal a kinna akthara a l nn a si l a yaAAlamoon a

Say, 'O Prophet,' ''It is' Allah 'Who' gives you life, then causes you to die, then will gather you 'all' on the Day of Judgment, about which there is no doubt. But most people do not know.'

- Mustafa Khattab

Say: "It is Allah Who gives you life then gives you death; then He will gather you together for the Day of Judgement about which there is no doubt": but most men do not understand.

- Abdullah Yusuf Ali

45:27

وَلِلَّهِ مُلْكُ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ ۚ وَيَوْمَ تَقُومُ ٱلسَّاعَةُ يَوْمَئِذٍ يَخْسَرُ ٱلْمُبْطِلُونَ Walill a hi mulku a l ssam a w a ti wa a lar d i wayawma taqoomu a l ss a AAatu yawmai th in yakhsaru almub t iloon a

To Allah 'alone' belongs the kingdom of the heavens and the earth. On the Day the Hour will be established, the people of falsehood will then be in 'total' loss.

To Allah belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth and the Day that the Hour of Judgment is established that Day will the dealers in Falsehood perish! ⁴⁷⁶⁵

- Abdullah Yusuf Ali

45:28

وَتَرَىٰ كُلَّ أُمَّةٍ جَاثِيَةً ۚ كُلُّ أُمَّةٍ تُدْعَىٰٓ إِلَىٰ كِتَـٰبِهَا ٱلْيَوْمَ تُجْزَوْنَ مَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ Watar a kulla ommatin j a thiyatan kullu ommatin tudAA a il a kit a bih a alyawma tujzawna m a kuntum taAAmaloon a

And you will see every faith-community on its knees. Every community will be summoned to its record 'of deeds'. 'They all will be told,' 'This Day you will be rewarded for what you used to do.

And thou wilt see every sect bowing the knee: every sect will be called to its Record: "This Day shall ye be recompensed for all that ye did! ⁴⁷⁶⁶

45:29

هَـٰذَا كِتَـٰبُنَا يَنطِقُ عَلَيْكُم بِٱلْحَقِّ ۚ إِنَّا كُنَّا نَسْتَنسِخُ مَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ H atha kit a bun a yan t iqu AAalaykum bi a l h aqqi inn a kunn a nastansikhu m a kuntum taAAmaloon a

This record of Ours speaks the truth about you. Indeed, We always had your deeds recorded 'by the angels'.'

"This Our Record speaks about you with truth: for We were wont to put on record all that ye did." ⁴⁷⁶⁷

- Abdullah Yusuf Ali

45:30

فَأَمَّا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ فَيُدْخِلُهُمْ رَبُّهُمْ فِى رَحْمَتِهِۦ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ هُوَ ٱلْفَوْزُ ٱلْمُبِينُ Faamm a alla th eena a manoo waAAamiloo a l ssa li ha ti fayudkhiluhum rabbuhum fee ra h matihi tha lika huwa alfawzu almubeen u

As for those who believed and did good, their Lord will admit them into His mercy. That is 'truly' the absolute triumph.

Then as to those who believed and did righteous deeds their Lord will admit them to His Mercy: that will be the Achievement for all to see. ⁴⁷⁶⁸

- Abdullah Yusuf Ali

45:31

وَأَمَّا ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوٓا۟ أَفَلَمْ تَكُنْ ءَايَـٰتِى تُتْلَىٰ عَلَيْكُمْ فَٱسْتَكْبَرْتُمْ وَكُنتُمْ قَوْمًا مُّجْرِمِينَ Waamm a alla th eena kafaroo afalam takun a y a tee tutl a AAalaykum fa i stakbartum wakuntum qawman mujrimeen a

And as for those who disbelieved, 'they will be told,' 'Were My revelations not recited to you, yet you acted arrogantly and were a wicked people?

But as to those who reject Allah (to them will be said): "Were not Our Signs rehearsed to you? But ye were arrogant and were a people given to sin!

- Abdullah Yusuf Ali

45:32

وَإِذَا قِيلَ إِنَّ وَعْدَ ٱللَّهِ حَقٌّ وَٱلسَّاعَةُ لَا رَيْبَ فِيهَا قُلْتُم مَّا نَدْرِى مَا ٱلسَّاعَةُ إِن نَّظُنُّ إِلَّا ظَنًّا وَمَا نَحْنُ بِمُسْتَيْقِنِينَ Wai tha qeela inna waAAda All a hi h aqqun wa al ss a AAatu l a rayba feeh a qultum m a nadree m a a l ss a AAatu in na th unnu ill a th annan wam a na h nu bimustayqineen a

And whenever it was said 'to you', 'Surely Allah's promise 'of judgment' is true and there is no doubt about the Hour,' you said 'mockingly', 'We do not know what the Hour is! We think it is no more than speculation, and we are not convinced 'that it will ever come'.''

"And when it was said that the promise of Allah was true and that the Hour there was no doubt about its (coming) ye used to say `We know not what is the Hour: we only think it is an idea and we have no firm assurance.'" ⁴⁷⁶⁹

- Abdullah Yusuf Ali

45:33

وَبَدَا لَهُمْ سَيِّـَٔاتُ مَا عَمِلُوا۟ وَحَاقَ بِهِم مَّا كَانُوا۟ بِهِۦ يَسْتَهْزِءُونَ Wabad a lahum sayyi a tu m a AAamiloo wa ha qa bihim m a k a noo bihi yastahzioon a

And the evil 'consequences' of their deeds will unfold before them, and they will be overwhelmed by what they used to ridicule.

Then will appear to them the evil (fruits) of what they did and they will be completely encircled by that which they used to mock at! ⁴⁷⁷⁰

- Abdullah Yusuf Ali

45:34

وَقِيلَ ٱلْيَوْمَ نَنسَىٰكُمْ كَمَا نَسِيتُمْ لِقَآءَ يَوْمِكُمْ هَـٰذَا وَمَأْوَىٰكُمُ ٱلنَّارُ وَمَا لَكُم مِّن نَّـٰصِرِينَ Waqeela alyawma nans a kum kam a naseetum liq a a yawmikum h atha wamaw a kumu a l nn a ru wam a lakum min n as ireen a

It will be said, 'This Day We will neglect you as you neglected the meeting of this Day of yours! Your home will be the Fire, and you will have no helpers.

It will also be said: "This Day We will forget you as ye forgot the meeting of this Day of yours! And your abode is the Fire and no helpers have ye! ⁴⁷⁷¹

- Abdullah Yusuf Ali

45:35

ذَٰلِكُم بِأَنَّكُمُ ٱتَّخَذْتُمْ ءَايَـٰتِ ٱللَّهِ هُزُوًا وَغَرَّتْكُمُ ٱلْحَيَوٰةُ ٱلدُّنْيَا ۚ فَٱلْيَوْمَ لَا يُخْرَجُونَ مِنْهَا وَلَا هُمْ يُسْتَعْتَبُونَ Tha likum biannakumu ittakha th tum a y a ti All a hi huzuwan wagharratkumu al h ay a tu a l dduny a fa a lyawma l a yukhrajoona minh a wal a hum yustaAAtaboon a

This is because you made a mockery of Allah's revelations, and were deluded by 'your' worldly life.' So 'from' that Day 'on' they will not be taken out of the Fire, nor will they be allowed to appease 'their Lord'.

"This because ye used to take the Signs of Allah in jest and the life of the world deceived you." (From) the Day therefore they shall not be taken out thence nor shall they be received into Grace. ⁴⁷⁷²

- Abdullah Yusuf Ali

45:36

فَلِلَّهِ ٱلْحَمْدُ رَبِّ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَرَبِّ ٱلْأَرْضِ رَبِّ ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ Falill a hi al h amdu rabbi a l ssam a w a ti warabbi alar d i rabbi alAA a lameen a

So all praise is for Allah- Lord of the heavens and Lord of the earth, Lord of all worlds.

Then Praise be to Allah Lord of the heavens and Lord of the earth Lord and Cherisher of all the worlds! ⁴⁷⁷³

45:37

وَلَهُ ٱلْكِبْرِيَآءُ فِى ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ ۖ وَهُوَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلْحَكِيمُ Walahu alkibriy a o fee a l ssam a w a ti wa a lar d i wahuwa alAAazeezu al h akeem u

Surah 45. Al-Jathiya

Translation

Your search did not yield any results.

Say: "It is God who gives you life, and then causes you to die; and in the end He will gather you together on Resurrection Day, [the coming of] which is beyond all doubt - but most human beings understand it not."

- Mohammad Asad

O Prophet tell them: "It is Allah Who gives you life and later causes you to die; then it is He Who will gather you all on the Day of Resurrection, about which there is no doubt, yet most people do not understand."

- Muhammad Farooq-i-Azam Malik

Say, 'O Prophet,' ''It is' Allah 'Who' gives you life, then causes you to die, then will gather you 'all' on the Day of Judgment, about which there is no doubt. But most people do not know.'

- Mustafa Khattab

Say (unto them, O Muhammad): Allah giveth life to you, then causeth you to die, then gathereth you unto the Day of Resurrection whereof there is no doubt. But most of mankind know not.

Say: "It is Allah Who gives you life then gives you death; then He will gather you together for the Day of Judgement about which there is no doubt": but most men do not understand.

For, God's is the dominion over the heavens and the earth; and on the Day when the Last Hour dawns - on that Day will be lost all who [in their lifetime] tried to reduce to nothing [whatever they could not understand].29

To Allah belongs the Kingdom of the heavens and the earth. On that Day when the Hour of Judgment will be established, those who have denied His revelations shall be doomed to loss.

To Allah 'alone' belongs the kingdom of the heavens and the earth. On the Day the Hour will be established, the people of falsehood will then be in 'total' loss.

And unto Allah belongeth the Sovereignty of the heavens and the earth; and on the day when the Hour riseth, on that day those who follow falsehood will be lost.

To Allah belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth and the Day that the Hour of Judgment is established that Day will the dealers in Falsehood perish! 4765

And [on that Day] thou wilt see all people kneeling down [in humility]: all people will be called upon to [face] their record: "Today you shall be requited for all that you ever did!

You shall see every nation on its knees. Every nation shall be summoned to its book of record, and Allah will say: "Today you shall be rewarded for your deeds.

And you will see every faith-community on its knees. Every community will be summoned to its record 'of deeds'. 'They all will be told,' 'This Day you will be rewarded for what you used to do.

And thou wilt see each nation crouching, each nation summoned to its record. (And it will be said unto them): This day ye are requited what ye used to do.

This Our record speaks of you in all truth: for, verily, We have caused to be recorded all that you ever did!"

This book of Ours speaks about you with the truth. Surely We have recorded all your deeds."

This record of Ours speaks the truth about you. Indeed, We always had your deeds recorded 'by the angels'.'

This Our Book pronounceth against you with truth. Lo! We have caused (all) that ye did to be recorded.

Now as for those who have attained to faith and done righteous deeds, their Sustainer will admit them to His grace: that, that will be [their] manifest triumph!

As for those who believed and did righteous deeds, their Rabb will admit them into His mercy. That will be a glorious achievement.

As for those who believed and did good, their Lord will admit them into His mercy. That is 'truly' the absolute triumph.

Then, as for those who believed and did good works, their Lord will bring them in unto His mercy. That is the evident triumph.

Then as to those who believed and did righteous deeds their Lord will admit them to His Mercy: that will be the Achievement for all to see. 4768

But as for those who were bent on denying the truth, [they will be told:] "Were not My messages conveyed to you? And withal, you gloried in your arrogance, and so you became people lost in sin:

But as to those who disbelieved, Allah will say: "Were My revelations not recited to you? But you showed arrogance and became a people of criminals".

And as for those who disbelieved, 'they will be told,' 'Were My revelations not recited to you, yet you acted arrogantly and were a wicked people?

And as for those who disbelieved (it will be said unto them): Were not Our revelations recited unto you? But ye were scornful and became a guilty folk.

But as to those who reject Allah (to them will be said): "Were not Our Signs rehearsed to you? But ye were arrogant and were a people given to sin!

for when it was said, 'Behold, God's promise always comes true, and there can be no doubt about [the coming of] the Last Hour' - you would answer, 'We do not know what that Last Hour may be: we think it is no more than an empty guess, and [so] we are by no means convinced!'"

When it was said, "the promise of Allah is true and the Hour of Judgement is sure to come. You used to say, `We don't know what the Hour of Judgement is: we think it is just a conjecture, we are not convinced.'"

And whenever it was said 'to you', 'Surely Allah's promise 'of judgment' is true and there is no doubt about the Hour,' you said 'mockingly', 'We do not know what the Hour is! We think it is no more than speculation, and we are not convinced 'that it will ever come'.''

And when it was said: Lo! Allah's promise is the truth, and there is no doubt of the Hour's coming, ye said: We know not what the Hour is. We deem it naught but a conjecture, and we are by no means convinced.

And [on that Day,] the evil of their doings will become obvious to them, and they will be overwhelmed by the very thing which they were wont to deride.³⁰

this, because you made God's messages the target of your mockery, having allowed the life of this world to beguile you!³¹ On that Day, therefore, they will not be brought out of the fire,³² nor will they be allowed to make amends.

"This because ye used to take the Signs of Allah in jest and the life of the world deceived you." (From) the Day therefore they shall not be taken out thence nor shall they be received into Grace. ⁴⁷⁷²

Then Praise be to Allah Lord of the heavens and Lord of the earth Lord and Cherisher of all the worlds! ⁴⁷⁷³
