Surah 4. An-Nisaa', Ayah 142
إِنَّ ٱلْمُنَـٰفِقِينَ يُخَـٰدِعُونَ ٱللَّهَ وَهُوَ خَـٰدِعُهُمْ وَإِذَا قَامُوٓا۟ إِلَى ٱلصَّلَوٰةِ قَامُوا۟ كُسَالَىٰ يُرَآءُونَ ٱلنَّاسَ وَلَا يَذْكُرُونَ ٱللَّهَ إِلَّا قَلِيلًا Qur’an An-Nisaa' (4:142)Inna almunafiqeena yukhadiAAoona Allaha wahuwa khadiAAuhum waitha qamoo ila alssalati qamoo kusala yuraoona alnnasa wala yathkuroona Allaha illa qaleelan
Behold, the hypocrites seek to deceive God - the while it is He who causes them to be deceived [by themselves].158 And when they rise to pray, they rise reluctantly, only to be seen and praised by men, remembering God but seldom,
