Do not obey the unbelievers and the hypocrites, disregard theirannoyances and put your trust in Allah; for Allah is sufficientas a disposer of affairs.
Has it not been the case that every time they made a covenant agroup of them threw it aside? But the fact is that most of themare faithless.
These unbelievers love the transitory life of this world andneglect the heavy Day that is coming ahead.
Now are these people waiting for anything other than the Day ofFulfillment (Day of Judgement)? When the Day of Fulfillment willcome, those who have disregarded it, will say: "Indeed theRasools of our Rabb had come with the truth. Are there anyintercessors now, who could intercede on our behalf? Or could webe sent back so that we would not do as we have done before." Infact they would have lost their souls and the things they hadinvented will leave them in the lurch.
He is the One Who has revealed to you the Book. Some of itsverses are decisive - they are the foundation of the Book - whileothers are allegorical. Those whose hearts are infected withdisbelief follow the allegorical part to mislead others and togive it their own interpretation, seeking for its hiddenmeanings, but no one knows its hidden meanings except Allah. Those who are well grounded in knowledge say: "We believe in it;it is all from our Rabb." None will take heed except the peopleof understanding.
Tell My servants that they should speak only what is the best.Surely shaitan stirs up trouble among them. The fact is thatshaitan is an open enemy to mankind.
Say: "We believe in Allah and that which is revealed to us; andwhat was revealed to Ibrahim (Abraham), Isma'il (Ishmael), Ishaq(Isaac), Ya'qoob (Jacob) and their descendants, and that whichwas given to Musa (Moses), Isa (Jesus) and other Prophets fromtheir Rabb. We do not discriminate any of them, and to Allah wehave surrendered ourselves (in Islam)."
The Rasool has believed in the Guidance which has been revealedto him from his Rabb and so do the Believers. They all believe inAllah, His angels, His books and His Rasools. They say we do notdiscriminate against anyone of His Rasools. And they say: "Wehear and we obey. Grant us Your forgiveness, O Rabb; to You weshall all return."
O Prophet, say: "We believe in Allah and what is revealed to usand what was revealed to Ibrahim (Abraham), Isma`il (Ishmael),Ishaq (Isaac), Ya'qoob (Jacob) and their descendants; and in thatwhich was given to Musa (Moses), Isa (Jesus) and other Prophetsfrom their Rabb; we do not discriminate any one of them, and toAllah do we submit in Islam."
Those who deny Allah and his Rasool and those who intend to drawa line between Allah and His Rasools saying: "We believe in some, and reject the rest" - desiring to take a middle way betweenbelief and unbelief
- these are the real unbelievers and We have prepared for suchunbelievers a humiliating punishment.
As for those who believe in Allah and His Rasools and do notdiscriminate between any of them, We shall soon give them theirdue rewards. Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.
Among the Jews there are some who take the words out of theircontext and utter them with a twist of their tongues to slanderthe true Deen (faith) and say: "We hear and we disobey;" and"Hear, may you (O Muhammad) hear nothing!" And "Ra'ina" (anambiguous word meaning: "listen, may you become deaf," or "ourshepherd," or "in judeo-Arabic language conveying the sense of"our evil one"). If only they had said: "We hear and we obey;"and "Hear us;" and "Unzurna ("look upon us," or " pay attentionto us"): it would have been better for them and more proper. Dueto all this Allah has cursed them for their unbelief. In factwith the exception of a few, they have no faith.
Those who pervert Our revelations are not hidden from Us. Justconsider who is better? The one who is cast into the fire or theone who emerges safe on the Day of Resurrection? Do as you like;surely He is watching all your actions.
There are some among them who twist their tongues pretending aquote from their Holy Book; so that you may think that what theyread is a part of the Book, whereas, in fact it is not a part ofthe Book. They also assert, "It is from Allah" whereas, in factit is not from Allah. Thus they deliberately ascribe a lie toAllah.
It is not possible for a man whom Allah has given the Book, theWisdom and the Prophethood, that he would say to the people:"Worship me instead of Allah." On the contrary he would say: "Bedevoted worshippers of your Rabb in accordance with the Holy Bookyou have been teaching and reading."
He would never ask you to take angels and prophets as your lords.Would he ask you to become kafir (unbelievers) after you havebecome Muslims (believers)?
Allah knows your enemies very well. Sufficient is Allah toprotect you, and Sufficient is Allah to help you.
by such people whom neither business nor business profit candivert from the remembrance of Allah, nor from establishing Salahand nor from paying Zakah, for they fear the Day of Judgementwhen hearts will be overturned and eyes will be petrified,
who hope that Allah will reward them according to the best oftheir deeds and add for them even more out of His grace: forAllah gives without measure to whom He pleases.
O believers! Let neither your riches nor your children divert youfrom the remembrance of Allah. Those who will do so, it is theywho shall be the real losers.
Allah has made some of you excel in sustenance over the others;those who are so favored, do not give away their sustenance totheir slaves so as to make them their equals. How can you thinkthat Allah will allow other deities to be His equals? Would theyrefuse to acknowledge the favors of Allah?
Know that one-fifth of the booty (spoils of war) is for Allah,His Rasool, close relatives of the Rasool, orphans, the needy andthe wayfarer, if you do believe in Allah and in what We revealedto Our servant on the day of distinction (between right andwrong), the day when two armies met in combat. Allah has powerover everything.
Whatever spoils from the dwellers of the township Allah hasbestowed on His Rasool, shall belong to Allah, His Rasool,Rasool's relatives, and to the orphans, the needy and thetravellers in need; so that it may not become the property of therich among you. Whatever the Rasool gives you, take it and fromwhatever he forbids you, refrain from it. Fear Allah; for Allahis stern in retribution.
There are others who built a Masjid for mischievous motives(Masjid-e-Zirar), to spread disbelief and to disunite thebelievers, and an outpost for one (Abu 'Amir) who had made waragainst Allah and His Rasool before. They will indeed swear thattheir intentions are nothing but good; but Allah declares thatthey are absolute liars.
You should never stand to offer Salah in it. Certainly the Masjidfounded on piety from the very first day is more deserving thatyou should stand to offer Salah in it; for in it there are menwho love to be purified; and Allah loves those who purifythemselves.
Who is a better person; he who lays the foundation of hisbuilding on piety to Allah and His good pleasure, or he who laysthe foundation of his building on an undermined bank that willtumble down with him into the fire of Hell? Allah does not guidesuch wrongdoers.
The foundation of those who so build is never free from suspicionand shakiness in their hearts until their hearts are cut topieces. Allah is Knowledgeable, Wise.
Let no one turn you away from the revelations of Allah now thatthey have been revealed to you. Invite people to your Rabb and benot of the mushrikin (who join other deities with Allah).

You are forbidden to eat the meat of any animal that dies byitself (dead body), blood, the flesh of swine (pork) and that onwhich any name other than Allah has been invoked; also that whichis strangled to death , killed by a violent blow, killed by aheadlong fall and of those beaten or gored to death; and thatwhich has been partly eaten by a wild animal unless you are ableto slaughter it before its death; also that which is sacrificedon altars or is divided by raffling of arrows. All these aresinful acts. Today the unbelievers have given up all their hopeof vanquishing your religion. Have no fear of them, fear Me.Today I have perfected your religion for you, completed my favorupon you and approved Al-Islam as a Deen (way of life for you).Anyone who is compelled by hunger to eat what is forbidden, notintending to commit sin, will find Allah Forgiving, Merciful.
O believers! Intoxicants and gambling (games of chance),dedication to stones (paying tribute to idols) and division byarrows (lottery) are the filthy works of Shaitan. Get away fromthem, so that you may prosper.
Be not like those who became divided into sects and who startedto argue against each other after clear revelations had come tothem. Those responsible for division and arguments will besternly punished
If the relatives, orphans or needy are present at the time of thedivision of an inheritance, give them something out of it, andspeak to them kind words.
Let those (disposing of an estate) have the same fear in theirminds as they would have for their own if they were to leave ahelpless family behind: they should, therefore, fear Allah andspeak for justice.
and accepted what the shaitans falsely attributed to the kingdomof Sulaiman; not that Sulaiman was an unbeliever, it was theshaitans who were unbelievers: they taught witchcraft to thepeople and that which was revealed to the two angels, Harut andMarut in the city of Babylon. Yet these two angels never taughtmagic to anyone without saying: "We have been sent to tempt you;do not renounce your faith." Inspite of this warning those peoplekept on learning, from the angels, the magic which could causediscord between husband and wife; although they could harm nonewith it except with Allah's permission. They learned, indeed, what harmed them and did not profit them; even though they knewfully well that the buyers of magic would have no share in thehappiness of the Hereafter. Surely, they sold their souls for abad price, if they could understand it!
If they would have believed (accepted Islam) and kept themselvesaway from evil, there would have been a better reward from Allah,if they could understand it!
Those who were given the Book before this (Qur'an) did not divideinto sects until after there came to them a clear proof.
He Alone has the keys of the unseen treasures, of which no oneknows except Him. He knows whatever is in the land and in thesea; there is not a single leaf that falls without His knowledge, there is neither a grain in the darkness of the earth noranything fresh or dry which has not been recorded in a ClearBook.
But the people have divided their religion into sects betweenthem- to Us they shall all return.
Yet people have divided themselves into factions and each factionrejoices in its own doctrines
- well! Leave them in their heedlessness for an appointed time.
those who divide their religion into sects and become separategroups, each group rejoicing in its own circle.
He has ordained for you the same Deen (way of life - Islam) whichHe enjoined on Nuh - and which We have revealed to you O Muhammad- and which We enjoined on Ibrahim and Musa (Moses) and Isa(Jesus): "Establish the Deen of Al-Islam and make no division(sects) in it." Intolerable for the mushrikin is that to whichyou O Muhammad call them. Allah chooses for His service whom Hewills, and guides to His Way only those who turn to Him inrepentance.
The people did not become divided into sects until afterknowledge had come to them out of envy among themselves. Had yourRabb not issued the word to defer their punishment till anappointed time, the matter would have already been settledbetween them. The fact is that those who were made to inherit theBook after them, are surely in disquieting doubt concerning it.
Divorced women must keep themselves waiting for three menstrualperiods, it is not lawful for them to hide what Allah has createdin their wombs if they believe in Allah and the Last Day. In suchcases their husbands have a right to take them back in thatperiod if they desire reconciliation. Women have rights similarto those exercised against them in an equitable manner, althoughmen have a status (degree of responsibility) above them. Allah isMighty, Wise.
There is no blame on you if you divorce women before the marriageis consummated or the dowry is settled. Pay them somethinganyhow, the rich man according to his means and poor according tohis, a reasonable amount in all fairness. This is an obligationon the righteous people.
Reasonable provisions must also be made for divorced women. Thatis an obligation upon those who fear Allah.
O Prophet! If you and the believers divorce your wives, divorcethem at the end of their prescribed periods, and count theirprescribed periods accurately. Fear Allah, your Rabb. Do notexpel them from their homes during their waiting period, nor theythemselves should leave, unless they have committed an openlewdness. These are limits set by Allah; he that transgresses thelimits of Allah will wrong his own soul. You never know, Allahmay, thereafter, bring about some new situation ofreconciliation.
If you have any doubt concerning those of your wives who haveceased menstruating, then you should know that their waitingperiod will be three months, and the same will apply to those whohave no menstruation due to young age or a disease. As for thosewho are pregnant, their waiting period will end with delivery.Allah will ease the hardship of those who fear Him.
This is the command of Allah which He has sent down to you. Hethat fears Allah, will have his sins removed and his rewardenlarged.
Let those women, during their waiting period ('Iddat), live whereyou yourselves live according to your means. You shall not harassthem so as to make life intolerable for them. If they arepregnant, maintain them until their delivery: and if, after that, they suckle your offspring, compensate them and settle the matterof compensation with mutual consultation and in all fairness. Butif you cannot bear with each other then let another woman sucklethe baby for you.
Let the rich man give according to his means, and the poor mangive according to what Allah has given him. Allah does not chargea man with more than He has given him; soon Allah may bring easeafter hardship.
Those who divorce their wives by Zihar, then wish to retract thewords they uttered, shall have to free a slave before they toucheach other. This is enjoined as a penalty for doing so. Allah iswell-aware of all your actions.

And if you divorce them before the marriage is consummated butafter the fixation of a dowry, give them half of their dowryunless the woman wants to waive it or the man in whose hand isthe marriage tie is generous enough (to pay the dowry in full). It is more appropriate that the man should act generously. Do notforget to show kindness to each other. Surely Allah observes youractions.

O believers! When the believing women seek refuge with you, testthem. Allah best knows their faith. If you find them truebelievers, do not send them back to the unbelievers. They are notlawful to the unbelievers, nor are the unbelievers lawful tothem. Return to their unbelieving husbands what they have spenton them. There is no blame on you if you marry such women, provided you give them their dowers. Do not hold on to yourmarriages with unbelieving women. Demand what you have spent onthem and let the unbelievers do the same. This is the order ofAllah which He has decreed between you. Allah is All-Knowing,All-Wise.
If you do not get back the demanded amount that you have spent onyour disbelieving wives from the unbelievers, and your turncomes, to pay the demanded amount of Muslim wives to theunbelievers, you can offset the amount and pay those whose wiveshave fled the equivalent of the amount they have spent on theirdisbelieving wives. Fear Allah, in Whom you believe.
Pronouncement of revocable divorce is only allowed twice: thenshe should be allowed to stay with honor or let go with kindnessafter the third pronouncement. It is not lawful for husbands totake anything back which they have given them except when bothparties fear that they may not be able to follow the limits setby Allah; then if you fear that they both will not be able tokeep the limits of Allah, there is no blame if, by mutualagreement the wife compensates the husband to obtain divorce. These are the limits set by Allah; do not transgress them, andthose who transgress the limits of Allah are the wrongdoers.
The mothers shall breast-feed their offspring for two whole yearsif the father wishes the breast-feeding to be completed. Thereasonable cost of their maintenance and clothing will be theresponsibility of the child's father. No one should be chargedwith more than they can afford. Neither a mother should be madeto suffer on account of her child nor a father on account of hischild. The father's heirs are under the same obligation. But ifwith mutual agreement they both decide to wean the child there isno blame on them. If a women fears cruelty or desertion from her husband, there isno blame if both of them agree to reconcile by means of acompromise, after all compromise is better. Allah has indeed heard the words of the woman (Khawlah daughterof Tha'labah, who had been divorced by calling her: ''You are tome like my mother" which was acceptable practice for divorceamong pagan Arabs), who pleaded with you against her husband andmade her complaint to Allah, and Allah has heard what you said toeach other. Allah hears all and sees all.
Those of you who divorce their wives by Zihar (calling them to belike their mothers) should know that they are not their mothers.Their mothers are only those who gave birth to them. Surely thewords they utter are absurd and false. Allah could punish themfor this but He forgave them, surely Allah is All-Pardoning,All-Forgiving.
Those who divorce their wives by Zihar, then wish to retract thewords they uttered, shall have to free a slave before they toucheach other. This is enjoined as a penalty for doing so. Allah iswell-aware of all your actions.
He that has no slave, shall fast two consecutive months beforethey touch each other. He that cannot fast, shall feed sixty poorpeople. This is enjoined so that you may have faith in Allah andHis Rasool. These are the limits set by Allah, and the violatorsshall have a painful punishment.
Whenever they hear news of peace or of danger, they spread itquickly; but if they would report it to the Rasool and to theresponsible people in the community, it would come to theknowledge of those who could draw the right conclusions. If ithad not been for Allah's grace and mercy, all of you with theexception of a few, would have followed Shaitan.
The sentence will be: "Throw into hell every stubborndisbeliever,
every opponent of good, and every doubting transgressor
who set up other gods besides Allah. Throw him into severepunishment."
His companion will say: "Our Rabb! I did not mislead him. Hehimself had gone far astray."
Allah will say: "Do not dispute with each other in My presence. Igave you warning beforehand.
My words cannot be changed, nor am I unjust to My servants."
This is The Book in which there is no doubt. (Since its Author,Allah, the Creator of this universe, possesses completeknowledge, there is no room for doubt about its contents.) It isa guide for those who are God conscious,
Praise be to Allah Who has revealed the Book to His servant and did not make it complicated.
It is straightforward so that He may warn about the terrible punishment for the unbelievers from Him and give good news to the believers who do good deeds that they shall have a goodly reward,
This Qur'an is revealed in Arabic, which is free from any flaw,so that they may learn to be righteous.
So O Prophet, have patience: surely the promise of Allah is true;and do not let those, who themselves have no certainty of faith, shake your firmness.
This Qur'an is not such as could be produced by anyone other thanAllah; in fact it is the confirmation of prior revelations(Psalms, Torah, and Gospel) and fully explains the Holy Book(prior scriptures); there is no doubt in this fact that it is(revealed) from the Rabb of the Worlds.
Do they say: "He (the Prophet) has forged it?" Tell them: "Ifwhat you say be true; then produce one Surah like this, you mayeven call to your aid anyone you want other than Allah."
Nay! They do not believe that which they cannot grasp, for theyhave not yet seen its prophecy fulfilled. The same way those whopassed before them disbelieved. But see what was the end of thewrongdoers!
When We substitute one verse in favor of another to elaboratewith different examples - and Allah knows best what He reveals instages - they say: "You are but a forger." The fact is that mostof them do not understand.
Say, "The Holy Spirit (Gabriel) has brought it down piecemealintact from your Rabb to strengthen the faith of the believers, and to give guidance and good news to the Muslims."
We know very well what they say about you, O Muhammad: "A certainman teaches him." But the man they allude to speaks a foreignlanguage while this (The Qur'an) is in eloquent Arabic.
This Book (Al-Qur'an), which contains no doubt, is revealed bythe Rabb of the worlds.
Do the people say: "He (Muhammad) has forged it?" Nay! It is theTruth from your Rabb, so that you may warn a people to whom noWarner has come before you: so that they may receive guidance.
Do they say that the Prophet has fabricated it himself? OProphet, tell them: "If I have fabricated it myself, then thereis nothing that you can do to protect me from the wrath of Allah. He knows fully well what you say about it. Enough is He as awitness between me and you. He is the Oft-Forgiving, the MostMerciful."
O Prophet tell them: "I am no prodigy among the Rasools; nor do Iknow what will be done with me or with you. I follow only what isrevealed to me, and I am no more than a plain Warner."
Further say: "Think, if this Qur'an is indeed from Allah and youreject it, when a witness (a Jew) from the children of Israel hasalso testified to its similarity with earlier scriptures and hasbelieved (accepted Islam), while you are showing arrogance, howunjust you are! Surely Allah does not guide the unjust people."
We gave the Book to Musa - so be not in doubt for receiving thisBook which meets the same criteria - and We made it a guide forthe Children of Israel.
Allah! There is no god besides Him. He will certainly gather youall together on the Day of Resurrection; there is no doubt in it,and who can be more truthful in his words than Allah?
The true believers are those who believe in Allah and His Rasool, then never doubt; and make Jihad (exert their efforts) with theirwealth and their persons in the cause of Allah. Such are the oneswho are truthful in their claim to be the believers.
On that Day the hypocrite men and hypocrite women will say to thetrue believers: "Wait for us, that we may borrow some of yourlight." But they will be told: "Go away! Seek your lightelsewhere." So a wall with a gate shall be set up between them.Inside there shall be mercy, and outside all along there shall bepunishment of hell.
They will call out the believers, saying: "Were we not on yourside?" "Yes," they will reply, "but you led yourselves intotemptation, you wavered, you doubted, and were deceived by yourvain desires until Allah's command came, while the arch-deceiver(shaitan) deceived you concerning Allah till the last moment."
They will be told, "Today no ransom shall be accepted from you,or from the unbelievers. Your abode is the fire: which you havejustly earned, and it is an evil refuge."
They also say: "Why is this Qur'an not revealed to a man of greatimportance in the two towns (Makkah and Ta'if)"?
Is it they who distribute the blessings of your Rabb? It is WeWho distribute the means of their livelihood in the life of thisworld, raising some in rank above others, so that one may takeothers into his service. But the blessing of your Rabb is fargreater in value than the wealth of this world which they amass.
Their knowledge does not grasp the Hereafter; rather they are indoubt about it; nay, they are blind concerning it!
even though he had no authority over them. It all happenedbecause We wanted to see who among them believed in the hereafterand who is in doubt concerning it. Your Rabb is watching over allthings.
Surely the Zaqqum tree
shall be the food of the sinners,
it will be like the drags of oil. Which shall boil in the belly
like the boiling of scalding water.
A voice will be heard: "Seize him and drag him into the depth ofthe hell,
then pour scalding water over his head,
then the voice will say: "Taste it; you were such a powerfulnoble!
This is the punishment which you use to doubt."
Only those who deny it seek to hasten it on; but the believersdread its coming and know that its coming is the truth. Behold! Those who dispute concerning the hour of doom are far astray.
He (Jesus) is, in fact, a sign for the coming of the Hour ofDoom. Therefore, have no doubt about its coming, follow me; thisis the Right Way.
Say: "O people! Doubt my Deen (religion) if you will, but neverwill I worship those that you worship besides Allah. I worshipAllah, Who has the power to cause your death, and I am commandedto be one of the believers."
Still they are in doubt about meeting their Rabb! Yet it is HeWho encompasses everything.
Do they say: "He has forged a falsehood against Allah?" But ifAllah so willed, He could have sealed your heart. In fact Allahblots out falsehood and vindicates the truth by His words. SurelyHe knows everything that is hidden in your breast.
The unbelievers say: "You are no Rasool." Say: "Allah isall-sufficient witness between me and you, and so are those whohave knowledge of the Book."
They say: "O you to whom the reminder (The Qur'an) is beingrevealed! You are surely insane.
Why don't you bring us the angels, if you are of the truthfulones?"
O Muhammad, tell them: "We do not send down the angels except forjust cause (to execute Our scourge), and when they come, peopleare not given respite.
Further, they say: "When will this promise of resurrection cometo pass, if what you say is true?"
In fact what they are waiting for is a single blast, which willseize them while they are yet disputing among themselves in theirworldly affairs.
Then neither they will be able to make a will, nor be able toreturn to their families.
Then a trumpet shall be blown and, behold, they will rise up fromtheir graves and hasten to their Rabb.
They will say: "Oh, Woe to us! Who has raised us up from ourgraves? They will be told: "This is what the Compassionate(Allah) had promised and true was the word of the Rasools."
It will be no more than a single blast, and then they will all begathered before Us.
If you are in doubt as to whether the revelations which We havesent to Our servant (Muhammad) are from Us or not, then produceone Surah like this; and call your witnesses (gods that you callupon) besides Allah to assist you, if you are right in yourclaim.
But if you are unable to do so, and you can never do so, thenfear the Hell fire, whose fuel is men and stones which isprepared for the unbelievers.
Say: Should I seek a judge other than Allah, when He is the OneWho has revealed this Book (The Qur'an) with full details? Thosewhom We gave the Book, before you, know very well that it isrevealed to you from your Rabb with the Truth; therefore, youshould not be of those who have doubts.
We settled the Children of Israel in a respectable dwelling placeand provided them with the good things of life. They did notcause dissension until after knowledge had come to them. Surelyyour Rabb will judge between them in those matters in which theycaused dissension on the Day of Resurrection.
Can they be like those who have clear revelations from their Rabband to whom a witness from Himself recites it, and they have theBook of Musa before them - a guidance and a blessing? Can suchpeople deny the revelation of Al- Qur'an? No of course not, rather such people will believe in this, but those factions whodo not believe shall have their promised place in the Hellfire. So, O Prophet, do not be in any doubt about it; it is the Truthfrom your Rabb, even though most people do not believe so.
Do the unbelievers say "He (Muhammad) himself has forged allthis?" Say to them: "If I have indeed forged it, then its sin ison me! And I am clear of the sins which you are committing fornot believing it."
We have not heard such a thing from anyone of the people oflatter days (Jews and Christians): it is nothing but afabrication.
Is he the only fit person among us to whom the admonition isrevealed?" But in fact they doubt My admonition, for they havenot yet tasted My punishment.
Do they have the treasures of the mercy of your Rabb, theAll-Mighty, the Munificent One.
Or do they have sovereignty over the heavens and the earth andall that lies between them? If so, let them ascend by any meansto be in a position of dictating Allah according to their wishes.
Their faction is no more than an army who will be beaten righthere.
Before them the people of Nuh, `Ad and Fir'on, the man of spikes, denied their Rasools,
So did Thamud, the people of Lut and those of Aiykah (the peopleof Median) - all divided themselves into factions;
all charged their Rasools as liars, so just was my torment ofannihilating them.
These people also await nothing but a single mighty Blast - theone which none may retard.
O Prophet, surely We have revealed to you the Book with thetruth, for the instruction of Mankind. He who follows the RightWay shall follow it for his own good; and he who goes astrayshall do so at his own peril. You are not set up as a guardianover them.
To Allah prostrate all the creatures of the heavens and theearth, including the angels; and they are not arrogant:
they fear their Rabb Who is above them, and they do whatever theyare commanded to do.
Allah has commanded: "You shall not worship two gods: thereexists only One God, I am the One Whom you should fear."
To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and the earth and HisDeen (laws or ways of life) is followed in the universe - wouldyou then fear any one other than Allah?
Man says: "What! Once I am dead, shall I be raised to lifeagain?"
Does not the man remember that We created him before out ofnothing?
By your Rabb, We will call them to account in the company of alltheir shaitans and set them on their knees around the Fire ofHell;
then from every sect We will certainly drag out its stoutestrebels against the Compassionate (Allah).
O mankind! If you doubt that there is life after death rememberthat We first created you from dust, then from a sperm, then froma leech- like mass, then from a morsel of flesh, partly formedand partly unformed, so that We may manifest to you Our power. Wecause to remain in the womb whom We wish for an appointed term, and then We bring you forth as infants; then We nourish you sothat you may reach your age of full strength. There are some ofyou who die young and some who live on to their abject old agewhen all that they once knew they know no more. You sometimes seethe land dry and barren; but no sooner do We pour down rain uponit then it begins to stir and swell, putting forth every kind ofbeautiful growth in pairs.
This is because Allah is the Reality: it is He Who gives life tothe dead and it is He Who has power over everything,
and this is a proof that the Hour of Doom is sure to come - thereis no doubt about it; and that Allah will raise up those who arein the graves.
The unbelievers say: "What! When we and our fathers have becomedust, shall we really be raised from the dead?
This promise which is made to us was also made to our forefathersbefore us, these are nothing but the legends of primitivepeople."
Say: "Travel through the earth and see what has been the end ofthe criminals."
and used to say: "When we are dead and turned to dust and bones, shall we then be raised to life again?
And our forefathers, too?"
Tell them: "Surely those of old and those of present age
shall certainly be brought together on an appointed time of aknown Day.
as a result, they presumed as you presumed that Allah would notappoint anyone as a Rasool.
Does man think that he will be left to wander around without anypurpose?
Was he not once a drop of emitted semen?
Then he became a leechlike mass, then Allah created him andfashioned him in due proportion,
and made him either of the two sexes, male and female.
Has He not then the power to bring the dead to life?
The unbelievers say: "Shall we really be restored to our formerstate (life),
when we shall have become hollow bones?"
They further say: "It would then be a fruitless restoration!"
They should know that it shall be only a single shout,
and they will be back to life in open plain.
Surely He, the Creator, has the power to bring him back to life,
on the Day when the hidden secrets will be brought to scrutiny,
If you are in doubt regarding what We have revealed to you, askthose who have been reading the Book before you. In fact, thetruth has indeed come to you from your Rabb: therefore, do not beof those who doubt,
As for the unbelievers, they will never cease to doubt therevelation, until the Hour of Doom overtakes them suddenly orthere comes on them the punishment of the Day of Disaster.
